Hey guys, I ran across a couple of these in a pawn shop. Very nice-looking SS DAO pistol, flattest I've ever seen. Unfired, asking $250 OTD

I'm sure tempted, but I don't want a gun with a history of problems.
Anybody have any info or experience on these?
Maybe a scanned owners manual?
Is that a good price?

A buddy had one for 5 or 6 years and never had a bit of trouble with it. Nice shooting gun. That's all I know. He traded it for a used Glock.

I've never run into a gun with so little info available online.
I'll probably buy one of them anyway. Hopefully the seller will have a manual. Both are new, but they were not displayed with a box

To me it's a relatively heavy gun for a .380 - but very thin - at 19 ounces with a 3-3/8" barrel. DAO with a 7-shot magazine. As I recall, my buddy's had a very good trigger on it. The Blue Book says they were made from '95 to '97.

He was supposed to call me if he ever wanted to sell it, but that didn't happen when somebody offered him a lot more on a trade than he had in it.

slightly different

That Escort may be a different generation than the ones I saw.
These had slimmer grips, and I think less overhang at the back.
The whole thing just looked slimmer and flatter than that pic.

I'll probably go back and buy one tomorrow. I'll get pics when I do.

My delimna right now is to buy just one, or offer $450 for the pair?
I think I could buy them both for that.

I'd maybe do it. I hear they sort of have a following. I love the thin profile, rare in guns these days.

"These had slimmer grips, and I think less overhang at the back."

I was thinking the same thing, but, but, how slim can it get...

... that's a cigarette next to the gun in the small pic.

I have a NIB American Arms Escort .380 that I would sell for $450 plus the shipping. I purchased it quite a few years ago for concealed carry, but I ended up with a little larger pistol, and the Escort just disappeared into the back of my safe, until now. Here is a picture of the pistol. I can upload some others pics, included a picture of the box if anyone is interested. I also purchased some extra magazines at the time, but I cannot find them. If someone is interested I know I have at least two mags for this pistol somewhere. The only thing I remember about this pistol is that at the time I was ordering a number of Walther PPKs and the AA distributor told me that the "flat pistol" had arrived and that it was well-made enough for them to put their name on it. It is a very interesting pistol.
