Well I finally picked up my American Derringer in double action. Took it out Sunday morning just before the NFL games started. I was really impressed after reading all the negatives on this forum. The double action is very long but smooth, so after shooting several rounds thru the arm; I set up a silhouette target. Fired two rounds at it and noticed poa at center of mass poi was directly above the head. So I adjusted appropriately, and aimed at the crotch area, viola hit center of mass with both barrels with the two rounds about 2" apart and dead center at 10 yards. Then again fired two more rounds and both rounds hit right next to the first two. BTW I got it in .38 Spl. and used Corbon 110 grn. HP's. Recoil was not all that bad, noting I've shot the Judge several times before, and also the Bond in 410/45 Colt. I'm not sure if they regulate the barrels at the factory or what, but needless to say for a belly gun this puppy will shoot fairly straight at close range.
