I am looking to upgrade front and rear sights for my G23... I have been looking into Hiene Straight 8 sights and now saw Ameriglo Night sights... for about half the price... $60 vs $120... anyone have any feedback or opinions on these? here is link http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/2AMGGL101-1.html ... thanks, Johnny

Great sights. Ameriglo uses Trijicon ampules, one of the best on the market.

All my Glocks have Ameriglo Pro Operators, thinking about the I-dots or Pro Glo for my M&P.

I have no personal experience with the ameriglo's. But I do have trijicons on all my glocks and love them. So I'm sure the ameriglo are good sights because the tritium filled tubes in them come from trijicon.

Tag for more options. I would like to hear more opinions. I have Meps on my Glocks but they need to be replaced soon. I would like Straight 8's myself or a similar system and to hear more opinions on them.

what is crazy is the stock Glock rear sights are $4.20 new while new straight 8 sights are $60 withOUT night sights... just the black rear sight and the white dot... talk about markup...

Thinking about their "straight 8" night sights for my G26. Reviews look good & I prefer a 2 dot sight picture to a 3 dot.

I use the Ameriglo Hack front with a i-Dot Pro yellow rear. They are working out well. They are combat sights, not target sights. So the rear has plenty of light on each side of the front post. In regular light, the Orange front is very fast to pick up. In low or no light, the front glows brighter than the rear which helps sight alignment. I also like the ledge on the rear sight to help with one handed slide manipulations. I ordered them straight from Ameriglo.

It would be the GL-202.

I have the I dot's on my 19 and out of the 4 different sets of night sight I have they are my favorite.Very good for fast pick up in all lighting conditions.

I had a set of Ameriglos on my G19, and didn't take long for the white plastic around the front ampule to crumble. The owner sent me out another set, but sold the gun soon after. May have been a fluke, and I was careful to not get cleaning solutions on it, so dont know what caused it. I can say the CS is very good!:)

I have the Ameriglo Ghost Ring night sights on my Talo Glock 22
and really like them. I have Ameriglo pro operator night sights on
my other Glock 22 .357 Sig and like them as well.

how big are the sights? how easy are they to adjust... my local gunsmiths want between $55-$65 to install and sight in... the sights themselves cost $65

Front is a screw, back really needs a sight pusher.

I'm sure somebody local to you has the tools and would be willing to help you install them.

I know the front sight is easy to install the rear one looks much larger than stock Glock sight

I just like the 2 dot system... much easier to use than standard Glock fieldgoal rear sight..

If you cant do it yourself, then it is worth the cost to have them do it. If you can do it yourself, then it is worth not paying them to do it. All you need is a Glock Front Sight tool, some Blue LockTite, some small files to fit the rear sight, a small hard rubber mallet or hammer and a vise to hold the slide steady.

Just like this install video: http://youtu.be/ow9lu_3Pa_w

You can't adjust Glock front sights. You can only adjust the rear sight by going left or right. Usually to move the rear sight you need a small hard rubber mallet/hammer or a sight pusher. I install my own Glock sights, and then sighting in if they need a slight adjustment I can use the sight pusher my range uses.
