I own a glock 19 and I was wanting to put night sights on it. I was looking at some "novak style" manufactured by ameriglo. Does anyone have any experience with these sights? I didn't know if they are any good. What would you personally recommend? I do intend to use this gun for carry and range duty.

My experience has been extremely positive with Mepro's. I have them on my G30 and installed them on my partners G19. The boss has Mepro's on the majority of his Glocks with Trijicons on one of his Glocks. The Mepro's, IMO, are better than the Trijicons. The Mepro's are brighter, seem to have better daytime sighting and cost less.

Ameriglo is an excellent sight company, with great products and spectacular customer service. I own several sets of Ameriglo sights, including the Novak-type sights. Ameriglo is currently using Trijicon tubes, which offer a mounting system superior to Meprolights. Some of the Ameriglo designs are easily installed without a sight pusher. Ameriglo usually furnishes a front sight tool with their sights.

If you want all metal and durable adjustable night sights, get some MMCs.

I've tried them all and prefer to adjustability!

On all of my CCW Glocks!

Best picture on a Sig - but it is a sturday night sight:

The majority of my Glocks wear Meprolights. They seem to line up naturally as I bring the gun to bear during a draw. Also, it seems like the dots are bigger than Trijicons (which adorn two of my Kahrs as factory original equipment). On both my Glock 37 and 38 I've used the Ameriglos. I'm favorably impressed with the sights. Only worry will be the set screw in the rear sight coming loose under recoil (I'm going to loc-tite these once I verify the zero). The vials in these sights seem to be smaller, more like Trijicons. Ameriglos are the easiest to install, just drive the old ones out and slide the new ones in. Front sight is a simple screw in deal.
