I have a Sears Ted Williams 300 12Ga. I bought this in the late 70's and it has been in storage since around 1980. I plan on using it again now but have just been away from shotguns for a quite a while.

What is the recommended ammo type for this gun? Has shot gun ammo changed very much in 30 years?

You have a WInchester 1400 made for Sears.

The only real change in the last 30 years has been the introduction of the steel shot requirement for waterfowling.

Other then that, lead shot loaded shells are the same as they have been for a very long time.

Unless you hunt waterfowl, or live in a "steel shot only" area of the country, shoot lead shot in your gun.
