So I'm going to grab another Kel Tec sub2000. The one that takes the Glock mags. I've had the Sw model before, needed to sell for bills but loved it.

My question is which ammo would you use in the 33 rd Glock mags? I'm looking for a defense load that'll hit hard, shoot straight and feed reliably. Not sure if the Kel Tec is rated for +p but I want as flat-shooting a round as possible.

thanks

...and feed reliably.

That's the key. You'll likely have to buy a couple, few, or several different brands and see what feeds reliably, shoots straight, but I'd figure they'll all hit hard enough out of a carbine for defense.

I have had 3 sub2000 carbines all glock mag versions. one .40 (in my didn't know better days) and two 9mm versions.

They ate everything I fed them. Now most of that was LRN reloads. I put some Golden Saber down the pipe, Hydra Shock, and some Corbon. But not much as that gets expensive. Other than the occasional stove pipe they were all uber reliable.

I have a Sub 2000 9MM that uses S&W mags, and it is very reliable with everything I have tried. But like folks have posted, you will just have to try it out with ammo you think you want to use.

If you want hard hitting and flat shooting, I would suggest that you try to pick up a .40 S&W Sub2k. My .40S&W/glock mag Sub2k loves Doubletap gold dots...especially the 155gr weight. I get ~1570fps/850fps from that load in my Sub2k.

Mine eats everything with no problems.

Wolf is dirty, and as a lefty throws more crap out the side into my face, but stills feeds fine.

I'd try a mixed bag just to assure yourself everything will work with your particular gun.

The 33 round Glock mags work best with lighter loads... like those using 124g and lighter bullets. The only problems I have experience was with 147g rounds... the mag spring gets weighed down by a full stack and sometimes can FTF. However, the 17 round mags are perfect with everything I have used.

I mostly just feed mine bulk FMJ.

You seen the price on those subs lately? Unreal, just saw one for 400 bucks, I used to see them for half.

i'd be happy if i could just see one somewhere. i haven't seen one in stock anywhere, and all the places i've asked say they can't find one right now :(

blutarsky, try online, I don't know where you are but in AZ I know a few places that have them all the time including Shooters World and Randalls.
