ammo or rifle prob?

Was at the range yesterday with my Kahr (auto ordiance) M1 carbine. Ammo was Magtech 110gr fmj's. I had several times when it went click and on inspection I saw that a spent primer had come out of the case of a previous round. This happened about 7 times in 60 rounds. My question could this be a issue with my rifle or do you think the ammo is to blame? There were no signs of overpressure and this is factory ammo not reloads. Could the primer pockets be too large or could my chamber be out of spec alowing the case head to expand? Any ideas?

Has this happened before with any other ammo, or is this the first time that you had fired it?

I have experienced over sized primer pockets on virgin Magtech (CBC) cases before. Its possible that some got into their ammo production assembly system. I would contact them with calibre and lot #, see what they say.

+1 on ammo related.
Either loose pockets to start with, or very over-pressure loads.

Very unlikely it's a gun problem.

Spent primers are not supposed to fall out, regardless of what the gun is doing to them.

Sounds like a bad batch of ammo to me.

Thanks for the replies. This was my first time shooting it and the only ammo I had on hand. I picked up some S&B to try.
