$39.95 for 525 rounds of .22 lr

I know, i omitted the brand, sorry...Honestly, I didn't catch it over the phone.

Call it plinking or range ammo, not something like CCI stingers.

I remember a couple years back when .22 was 15.00 or $20.00 for a bulk pack. Is this the new going rate?

And yes, i know, Just having it in stock is a good thing.... :)

...but i'm not exactly hurting for .22 ammo. 500 rounds would last me a pretty long time, so i could afford to wait for prices to stabilize a bit more if needed

Academy has Federal 325 packs for $17 and 50 round boxes of CCI Standard for $4.

You've gotta go early in the morning to get it though, like right when they open.

I'd say no partner. I wouldn't pay more than 7-7 1/2 cents per round for CCI. Any other bulk ammo would be less.

You can find much better prices. Also, I factor tax into that amount, and tax is not low where I live.

I've seen a lot of .22 LR at Wal-Mart that past month. Lots of CCI and Winchester.

One of the online guys sent me an email today with 22 ammo for $59 a brick. Limit 4. They will probably sell out by tomorrow.

Was at a gun show last weekend and the good news is every booth that sold ammo had .22lr in stock. The bad news is that CCI Mini-Mag 100 round boxes were $18-20, when they should be $7-9.

It's getting better. Just a bit more patience.

LT.Diver: Is it to be a partnership, or incorporated? Partnerships are extremely risky (and can't afford it). But I will buy some of your stock.

The SKS has become my ".22" rifle. Some of us refuse to lose sleep etc just hoping to buy a brick of .22.
If .22s were really So much Fun, most of us would have bought much more when prices were actually normal. You can buy 5.45x39 ammo for about .18/round, or 7.62x39 for .24/rd.

Not to mention that the 7.62x39 has been relatively available throughout the whole panic. Either most of the people stockpiling have an ample supply of it or there's just so much of it laying around that the demand couldn't eat it all up but throughout this whole thing it has been the only common caliber that I could consistently buy.

agreed....at the height of the panic, when you simply could not FIND .223/5.56 in stock, I bought 500 rounds of 7.62x39 from Cabela's....on sale for 4.99 a box, with free shipping! However, as far as "if 22's were fun, we'd have stocked up previously"...Well....I DO find rimfires to be a LOT of fun, and as such I DID have an ample stock of it laying around. Its a darn good thing I did, too, as I recently bought the first box of .22 ammo I've seen on a store shelf in well over a year. Other than shotshells, I haven't seen ANY sort of .22 ammo for sale locally other than the 1k of M22 I bought I Walmart two weeks ago.

I too have started shooting the AK-74 a lot more. I can buy ammo for $.17 a round and buy it by the crate.
.22 is still cheaper and I still have around 6k rounds but that is way down since December. We just aren't shooting it quite as much now.

Btw, sorry, i just saw the .22 ammo price thread this morning... My bad! :)

I shoulda just posted in there...
