I shoot IDPA and go through 200-300 rounds per month with matches and practice. I've been using WWB with good results but my stock had run down. I shoot 9mm. Went to Wal-Mart today to begin to re-stock and the 9mm had gone up about $3 per box. Any recommendations on a replacement ammo that might be less expensive, maybe in bulk?

At 200-300 rounds a month, thats about a $6-9 increase per month in your costs. I'm not so sure finding another ammo that will prove to be as reliable for you is worth the savings...
Sounds like you've proven the WWB is good in your weapons, I would stick with it... it's still the cheapest quality ammo out there. All brands and qualities have increased in cost.

A few years ago my 9mm reloads cost more than WWB; I reloaded for the competitive advantage not savings. Now, even with the price of bullets, primers, and brass going up, per round cost is less than factory. At 200-300 rounds a month, it’s going to take a while to recoup your investment in the equipment needed to reload. If you do start reloading, you’ll probably wind up shooting more so your wallet isn’t going to get thicker, either way.

i reload .357 magnum,.38 spl, and 9mm and i don't think with my own homecast bullets and once fired and found brass and powder and primers i have $3 in a 50 round box of ammo............ yep think about reloading!! it is a relaxing hobby for me to make better ammo than i can buy............
