Ammo stolen off of porch! -Update

I actually got pretty busy with holidays and work and semi-forgot about this little problem. In short, the ammo was lost or stolen in shipment according to SGAmmo. They provided me a refund and I will re-order the ammo. Good on them and I will be sure to make future purchases with them.

Will they give you feedback when they find out the details of the "loss" or "theft" or "wormhole" or whatever?

Or is that going to an "Internal Affairs" investigation?

I doubt it 230. I am going to treat it as an anomaly myself. Order enough packages like me and something is bound to happen eventually. If it happens again I will look at making changes.

I had a similar situation out in Los Angeles County. Well kinda close. I had a delivery of 16# of Autocomp to my front door via ups.

After paying for the "Hazmat" fee, I figured the package would have been handled differently. Basically they pulled up and got the package close to my front door. Out in the open, clearly labeled WINCHESTER SMOKELESS POWDER. Not on the porch, no signature required, (that I changed) nuthin.

I wondered what the Hazmat fee was for. But it seemed like I was over reacting to the fact that anyone could have walked by and picked up the package. People on another post could not understand such a fuss.

They said, "it's not even an explosive!" "well the people in my town wouldn't touch it" et al. I'm just rambling on now.

People do some crazy shtuff.

A good friend caught someone stealing ups packages on his porch. Turns out a crew was literally following a ups truck on its route and collecting the packages from doorsteps. Going to be a felony case due to dollar amount.

I'm glad SGammo took care of you, but I am really surprised that they did. When you check out on their site, you have to click the box if you want to waive the $3.50 fee for signature required delivery, and accept that the package will just be left on the front step if no one is home to sign.

I'm surprised the company did a refund. I had a similar situation not too long ago. In my case, it took a few days and many, many phone calls to get it straightened out. But in the end, the company I'd bought the ammo from sent a new order and charged the shipping company for it.

People will steal a rock. So, I have shipments made to my work office. Always someone there and signature is expected. That way my wife doesn't need to be home and I don't worry about a package growing legs...and walking off!
