Howdy, folks. I have a request for you folks...especially those of you who have a bunch of weapons of different calibers. Line up 1 of every type of bullet you have and take a picture. Google Images doesn't really do it for me...unless I'm a terrible Goolger. Day by day, I'm getting my wife a little more interested in guns and she keeps asking about different calibers. All I have to show her is 9mm, 357 magnum, 38 special, and .22lr. If you have those calibers next to ones I don't have listed, that would be even better so she can get a good comparison.

Thanks in advance friends.

Not sure if this is what your exactly looking for but here are 3 that i have hseen on the net.

The wiki images are great for pistol, but they don't show a lot of the rifle calibers. They also have them divided by pistol and rifle. I'd like to see them together. Thanks.

*ETA* Ammoguide might be nice, but I don't want to pay money to see the cartridges all together.

Will this help?
From left to right- 22LR, .380ACP, 9mm, .38 Special, .357 Mag, .45ACP, 5.56/.223, 7.62/.308, 30.06, 12 Gauge.

AmmoGuide *IS* a real-time, online cartridge-drawing engine designed for both visual and ballistic cartridge comparison (Virtual Reality for the Modern Shooter!) It allows you to create your own charts from its (ever growing) list of cartridges, currently numbering 596. Example screen shot images...

(BTW, the above image is old - AmmoGuide now has over 600 loads for the .308)

In the interest of full disclosure, I must confess that AmmoGuide is my website (thank you, SaMx, for the link above!) Full access (access to load data, some tools) requires a small annual subscription fee but much of the site is free (cartridge pages, reading the forum, full use of Ballistic Comparison and Ballistic Calculator Tools - more).

Seems responsive to the query. Enjoy,

Mike

This is everything I have except for 22 long rifle, and 12,16,20, & 28 Gauge. Sorry for the lousy cell phone pic.

380 ACP, 9mm Parabellum, 40 S&W, 45 ACP, 38 Special, 41 Remington Magnum, 7.62x39 Soviet, 5.56x45 NATO, 22-250 Remington, 6mm Remington, 6.5x55 Swedish, 30-40 Krag, 7.62x54R Russian, 30'06 Springfield, & 308 Norma Magnum.

Hornady has a pretty decent poster, that I am sure they would be glad to give you if you ask nice.

Tony Williams (a cartridge collector and author who's worked with Max Popenker on several books) has several photos up on his web site: http://www.quarry.nildram.co.uk/tankammo.html Here's one of his "smaller" stuff:

Here's one of a few of my handloads and the projectile for comparison.

PICT0051.jpg

.222 Remington and 40 grain Hornady, .35 Remington and 200 grain Speer, .38 Special and 148 grain wadcutter, .357 Magnum and 125 grain hollow point, .44 Special and 240 grain semi-wadcutter, .44 Special and Speer shot capsule full of #8 shot.

I'll let you guys guess all of these, and I'll tell you when you've got them right. There are some odd ones in there.

10 Ring Tao
For the first picture I'm going to guess:
22 long rifle
32 ACP
380 ACP
9mm Para
40 S&W
45 ACP
10mm Auto
5.7x28mm
7.62x39
and 460 S&W?

For the second picture I would say:
22 long rifle
7.62x39
.410 shotshell
30-06 Spirngfield
12 Gauge
Another 30-06?
308 Win/ 7.62x51
5.56 blank
30 Carbine
and on the bottom:
380 ACP
and 9mm Para?

Not bad jesse.

I'm not 100% sure, as that day was awhile ago, but I think your guess on the .45 on the first pic is wrong. And then on the second pic, thats not a .308, and not a .380. Everything else is right. :D

Hmm.
I guess that sixth cartridge in the first pic is a little stubby looking - .45GAP?

In the second pic, I' gonna say that if the first cartridge on the bottom row isn't a .380 it might be a 9mm Makarov?

Still don't know what the not-a-308 is.

Yep, I can't remember if its an ACP or GAP.

You got the other one, its a 9mm mak.

Now I'm curious to see if someone will come up with the not-a-308.
