Amsec Sierra Elite SE6831

Is anyone familiar with this safe. I have found one for sale for what I believe a reasonable price. I can not find a great deal of info on this safe. It seems to be listed in the HS High Security section, but it does not have the weight or TL rating that I would expect with the high security.

Can anyone tell me how this model is superior to the BF line? How much value should be trusted in such a safe? Any idea of the thickness of the plate in the door and body? Any technical stuff, or professional opinions of this safe would be super.

Thanks

I am surprised one of our safe guys has not chimed in on this question.
I talked to a safe dealer and he told me Amsec quit making that safe because it was to expensive to make for the price they were charging.
It is more secure than the BF line.
I was told that the outer wall is 1/8 of an inch as well as the inner wall.
He also said the the material used for the fill between the inner and outer walls as well as the door was a stronger substance than was used on the BF line of safes.
I am sure if you call Amsec they can give you the info you want.
If you are getting that box for a decent price go for it.
I know i certainly would.

Heeler is correct.

The safe is no longer in production, and built with thicker/stronger materials than the BF series. It does not have a TL rating.

It weighs 1,800 pounds, and would have has a list price of around $7,000.

Thanks alot fellas!

How much more secure is this safe in your opinion? I can buy one for $3500. Is it a significant upgrade from the BF series? Is the BF 1/8" side wall and the SE safe two 1/8" sections separated by fire material? It seems that the safe has a higher fire rating, so is the material thicker or superior to the traditional safe.

Are you familiar with the Heritage line of safes? I can get a Heritage Ultimate for $1500 less that is slightly used. It seems to have good numbers, but can you help me with your opinion?

Thanks
