PS. The dealer still does not have the Form 3 for one of my cans I bought Feb 8 but has the approved Form 3 for one I bought a week later! My Form 4 won't even start until after the Form 3.

sequester cuts ya know. cannot afford to hire more people to actually do the work after they cash your checks. :)

I'd bet there has been a large uptick in NFA purchases though. Maybe the ATF needs to looks at hiring a few more folks.

Silencer Shop charged my credit card and submitted my F3 on 042913 and just this morning emailed me that they had received the F3 approval today. They might have gotten it yesterday and just emailed me today though. That's 43 or 44 days for a Form 3. They estimated 2 - 4 weeks but it was over six; not their fault though, NFA is a booming industry with a bottleneck office at the NFA that is choking these examinations into crazy lengths of time. If I can take the can home by Christmas, I'll be Jim Dandy.

And, with the reasoning of "Zombies", no less. Back in '08, we must've just barely been on the event horizon of that marketing gimmick.
