In just a few weeks (Oct. 21,22) Tulsa will be hosting the Wanenmacher gun show. It's 4000 tables of guns, guns, guns. Curios and relics. Military. Collectable firearms that make you want to trade the family farm.
I attended this show for the first time last April (I recently moved to OK from California). I wasn't prepared.
The sheer volume of bonafide firearms was overwhelming. I walked for 3 to 4 hours, straight. My feet hurt. My knees hurt. My back hurt. I had a headache. I was praying for the final row of tables.
"Wait! I think I see it! The final row of tables! Halleluiah!"
Then I discovered there was a whole second level.
I had to quit. I was humiliated because I've never been beaten by a gun show before.
This time will be different. I'm on a strict gun show training regimen. Up at dawn. Jumping jacks. Bayonet training. Speedbag. For specialized training I'm heading down to the Walmart for the blue light specials. If I can beat those savage soccer moms, I can do anything.
Hope to see you there.
