You may recall a couple months back that I wrote about Federal's pink shells. A 1 1/8 oz load, Pinks have the velocity reduced to 1150 FPS, making them a light kicker. These have a portion of their cost going to breast cancer research.

A worthy cause. I bought a few cases and ran them through sundry repeaters. Then I reloaded the empties.

PGC sells them at $66 a case, a good price here and now.

Now Federal has come out with shells to support another worthy cause, The Wounded Warrior Project. This group, if you didn't know, works with injured vets and their families. These,of course, are red, white and blue.

Same price, same quality, near as I can tell.

So, make a difference. Buy Pink, or RWB.

Do youself, and others, a favor while getting good ammo kinda cheap.

What say thee.....

Thanks Dave,

I say I am in for both worthy causes. Wife is a 17 yr survivor, and I was wounded in the Nam. Had two nephews wounded in the sandbox.

It is good to support our own.

I will go out of my way to by either the pink shells or RW&B shells. There is a woman in my trap league that loves the color pink. She got a look at the pink shells last year when I had them and made her husband buy her 5 cases.

Thanks,folks.

For, I haven't looked them up, but Midway and Ableammo should carry them.

I'll probably pick up a few more boxes of the pink ones (aunt is a survivor since before I was born, so 20ish years), and the RWB ones just because it's another good cause.

I like what Federal is doing (no matter how much profit is or isn't given to the cause).

Thanks, folks.

I may pick up a case of RWBs at PGC tomorrow.

Tom, I'll look for you....

I have been a supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project for a little over a year now. I'll definately pick up some RWB. Hell, guess it wouldn't hurt to go pink while I'm at it...

I can't tell who the money for the pink shells goes to. It just says breast cancer research. If it goes to the Susan G Komen Foundation (who in turn gives some of their money to Planned Parenthood) then it's a no-no for me.

They should be more specific. I like to be careful about where my money is going.

DOn't give to the Red Cross then.

As for Komen and Planned Parenthood, less than 1% of P/P''s funds are directed into abortions.

They do much more on women's issues, health, etc.
