Kill the bill and then you don't have to worry about grandfathering and how it will affect you. Besides, it is virtually impossible to say how that would all work beyond the basics since the bill gives ATF tremendous authority to "interpret" the legislation and we don't know how ATF will interpret/
I was under age during AWBI so I'm not as sure of the inticracies.
As I understand it this bill will ban parts for AWBs as it is curretly written rendering AR lowers worthless. Am I following this correctly?
For normal pistols this bill only pertains to magazines. So if I had $400 to spend I would be better getting magazines for a gun I want but don't own and then buy the gun later with neutered mags?
If you had $400 to spend, I'd send $150 to your favorite gun rights group and spend the rest on magazines. First of all, this legislation can be killed. If we are successful in killing it this session, then that is two extra years to prepare for the next fight.
And so it starts... HR1022... to Reauthorize Fed AW Ban
And it is also time for a recall on all anti-gun reps and senitaors in D.C. also. When the last ban was done, the anti-gunners in the capitol said they would try, lets make them accountable for their actions. Rich Ziemies,Omaha,Nebraska
For others who are intimidated by writing their reps, here is a website with several form letters opposing H.R. 1022 and all approprate links to look up your own congress critter and send the form letter through email.
