Yea, and Miami sheriff is calling for AWB!!!
Because those AK's are so deadly :banghead:

I think he's forgetting about state preemption.

A ban wouldn't have saved him.

I appolgize if this is somewhat off topic, but some people that view these pages are undecided about 2nd Amendment issues. This is for them.

Whenever I discuss firearm ownership with a non-gunner, or a questioning person on the edge of where their position should be, they generally say something like,"well, you have to admit something must be done in the wake of all of these senseless shootings."

I invariably ask them, "what law would have prevented that shooting?"
They bring up AWB. They bring up registration. They talk about gun bans.

Folks, bans don't work. Coccaine has been banned since 1926 or so, and I could go nearly anywhere and obtain it. :scrutiny:

Murder is illegal, but it doesn't stop some, but it stops the law abiding.

The only law that would have a chance is allow more CCW. These "senseless shootings don't take place in "gun rich" zones.

Criminals don't obey laws. Crime is a normal part of society since the begining of history.

+1 to that
It does not matter if you ban EVERY gun, people will kill each other with knives, blunt objects, heck, thier HANDS (if nut cases that shoot up places can put up with waiting periods and planning as they have, it does not stop them from spending 6 months learning a martial art ;) ).

Just ONCE I'd like to hear some of the antis calling for bans and laws and this and that come back and eat some of their crow. The S Florida police need MORE AR15s because of shootings like this? You need to ban any firearms that I might have because this police officer got shot? Oh, really?

What did the po-po do to piss the person off that shot him. I'm not buying into that person doing it for no reason.
