Another stellar performance by 911 operator.

Disgusting. I hope they really get hit hard in their wallets. Maybe that will make them realize more training is needed.

It also makes me realize that you cannot always rely on the police for protection. I feel much more at ease knowing my wife can defend herself if need be.

My heart also go out to the womans family.

Hitting them in the wallet is not good enough. Should replace the whole darned crew, and make sure the report is in their personnel records.

LE has no duty to protect an individual. I wonder if this precedent applies to LE support personnel.

It also makes me realize that you cannot always rely on the police for protection.
That should say "ever" not "always".

The police may WANT to "protect" you, but in virtually every immediate circumstance they lack the ABILITY, and in almost every case the DUTY.

Be prepared to protect yourself from the immediate threat of deadly force, or accept not being protected AT ALL.

why CCW...because police are minutes away....No, because police might not come at all.:barf:

No, because police might not come at all.
Or they might come and drive right by without checking. It's happened; in fact in one of the cases that decided that police have no duty to protect individuals.

If you think the police are going to or even CAN protect you as an individual, you might was well put a gun in your own mouth.

I don't know what to say either, since all I see is a blind link that may or not be safe to follow.

If you take half a second to examine the link you will see it goes to a known news site, chill out. Guess you know enough to be paranoid but not enough to know what to be paranoid about.

Pretty poor 911 performance, I agree.
