Sven, the .380 is the same size, weight, etc. as the .32 and a lot more powerful!
I too am a devout lover of the Keltecs and have them in 9mm and .380. I sold my .32s when I got the .380s.
True they go back too often but then they are pushing the edge of the power to size package like a 450 horsepower Volkswagen and they are worth the trouble. They do get them to market for BetaTesting with the public and then they are fixed. However in this lightning fast market of smaller and better pistols - by the time they are totally reliable, like my P-11s are now... the marketplace has other options... They do rush them to market and then fix them cheerfully, fast, and well.
There are not as many going back as you would think. There are only TWO people who work on all the returned Keltecs and only 4 people total in repair... Sharon is repair receptionist; Marty is the guy gunsmith; Valerie is female gunsmith; Justin answers email
I surmise that many, many, many of the Keltec buyers, purchase them for self defense and many of them shoot these baby guns a lot and with extra powerful loads in many if not most cases.
A year ago, most any gunsmith, metalurgist, gun-nut or armament expert would have bet you a nice steak dinner that there could NEVER be a gun the size and weight of the P3AT... They are a marvel of size to power and pretty darned accurate as well. Keltec is setting the standard of size to power and I suspect there is another surprise up the sleeve over there - right now. They are a great company with guns, prices and self defense solutions that are not available elsewhere.
I will order at least two of the next pistol they make as soon as I'm able and I don't even know what it is yet.
