I have (had) KT P3AT serial number 00215. Was jamming occasionally even after fluff and buff. It was the original style slide and barrel. Returned it to KelTec. They sent out new version slide & bbl to me at NO CHARGE, with an extra guide rod & recoil spring set to boot. Fairly quick turn-around time as well. Me= :) [Haven't yet tested new assembly]

Kel Tec has awesome customer service, the problem is it's needed way too often. I'll get a P3AT the day they perfect it.

Another satisfied customer!

When I broke the belt clip on my P11, they replaced it, even though I freely admitted it was MY fault. (NOTE: don't wear the pistol clipped over your belt, IWB in small of back. The clip will catch on seat backs, and break.)

When I managed to break the slide lock (the foot that engages the slide lock from the magazine follower; no biggie, just inconvenient), they replaced it for free, with courtesy and cheer. :)

(Note: I shoot my P11 a lot more than I suspect most people do, and do so usually with full-power 124g loads. )

and i guess having a loaded 9mm slip down your butt crack after the clip breaks isn't too comfortable?

Wow. It seems like Keltecs breaking and/or needing service is extremely common... (And I got two of the P3ATs... haven't even shot them, yet.) It's amazing they're so popular.

I see them as kit/project guns. Have to take them apart and finish the job by doing the fluff-and-buff. Just haven't gotten around to it, yet.

Picking up a P32 in a few days - took a long time to find one here in CA. Thinking about having it Hard Chromed by Kel-Tec.

Sven, the .380 is the same size, weight, etc. as the .32 and a lot more powerful!

I too am a devout lover of the Keltecs and have them in 9mm and .380. I sold my .32s when I got the .380s.

True they go back too often but then they are pushing the edge of the power to size package like a 450 horsepower Volkswagen and they are worth the trouble. They do get them to market for BetaTesting with the public and then they are fixed. However in this lightning fast market of smaller and better pistols - by the time they are totally reliable, like my P-11s are now... the marketplace has other options... They do rush them to market and then fix them cheerfully, fast, and well.

There are not as many going back as you would think. There are only TWO people who work on all the returned Keltecs and only 4 people total in repair... Sharon is repair receptionist; Marty is the guy gunsmith; Valerie is female gunsmith; Justin answers email

I surmise that many, many, many of the Keltec buyers, purchase them for self defense and many of them shoot these baby guns a lot and with extra powerful loads in many if not most cases.

A year ago, most any gunsmith, metalurgist, gun-nut or armament expert would have bet you a nice steak dinner that there could NEVER be a gun the size and weight of the P3AT... They are a marvel of size to power and pretty darned accurate as well. Keltec is setting the standard of size to power and I suspect there is another surprise up the sleeve over there - right now. They are a great company with guns, prices and self defense solutions that are not available elsewhere. :D

I will order at least two of the next pistol they make as soon as I'm able and I don't even know what it is yet.

Mr Jody Hudson:

Unfortunately, Kel-Tecs are not on the 'approved' list in California, so the only way to buy them is from someone in state who bought the gun before the new rules went into place. Not sure any of the .380s got in before the ban, but I found a 32 so I grabbed it.
