Count me as another very satisfied customer of Virgil Tripp at Tripp Research. I sent my 1991 Commander to him a few weeks ago and got it back Tuesday. I had him install the Novak sights and do a chrome finish. I especially like the brushed finish on the sides of the slide. It looks and shoots great.

Hello. V E R Y nice. I've seen some of Mr. Tripp's work on a couple of my friends' 1911's and it has been first-class. Hope you enjoy your pistol.

Best.

As soon as word got out that he was back in the refinishing business, the flood gates opened! :D

Very nice. He's done two for me this year and there may be a third depending on how my next project goes.

Congratulations.

before i type, i'll wipe the drool off the keyboard. That is one nice pistol! Congrats! Tripp and his company are really great in their field.

I can't believe he closed down and took away such a great option for people. It is good that he opened the refinishing back up. Looks really nice!

He really does a fantastic job. He refinished a Colt Commander I had customized, and it is easily the nicest finish of any pistol I own.

Wow, that looks great! I've got the same gun and that matte finish w/black grips just ain't doin' it for me anymore, I might have to look into a little refinishing work myself. Thanks for the idea.

This is going to sound dumb, but I was really confused by this at first...

I was thinking that you had two guns done, and I was trying to figure out what you'd gotten done on the first one. I didn't notice the labels "Before" and "After" at first... they really look like different guns.

Looks GREAT.

Shawn
