I hate to start another thread like this, but I am just hitting a wall at this moment.

I am looking at either the Bushnell Elite 4200 3-9x40 or the Burris Fullfield II 3-9x40. Straightup, a lot of folks may say just get the 4200, I've read countless pages, reviews, forums etc on both of them.

My issue is that the Fullfield gets excellent reviews, and is about $100 less than the 4200. Is the extra $100 going to make THAT much of a difference by getting the 4200?

My uses: it's going to be mounted on a Tikke T3 Hunter .308, mainly target shooting at first, and then whitetails later on; and possibly more than just whitetail in the future. Time is going to be anywhere from dusk to dawn.

I have the cash for the 4200, but is it really worth it against the Fullfield?

Thanks for any and all opinions.

Thanks for the information homers.

After searching the net, I went to the only two local sport goods places that would have both scopes. Scheels and Gander Mountain. Both have the Burris Fullfield II but neither had the Bushnell Elite 4200, but carried the 3200. It's my understanding that there is quite a difference between the 4200 and 3200, is that correct?

And as far as price concerns, $160-180 vs $240....is the $60-80 worth it for the Bushnell? Is there something about it that makes it better/worth it?

Thanks.
