I recently sold a single six, taurus tracker, and heritage rr revolvers not to mention a handful of autoloaders all chambered in 22 lr. I like the wheelguns but am looking for extreme accuracy in a 22lr. I have done much research but came back to my original question of what to do. Options are limited for current production guns but im willing to buy used should that be necessary. My option list current shows

Smith 17
Smith 617
Taurus tracker with a couple hundred bucks of trigger work
Single six stainless (sold short barrel blued) 9 inch (out of production but still on shelves)
Heritage rr 9.5 inch
Colt new frontier

Please help sort this out witb your firsthand experiences. Add other options if you have something I have overlooked.

Try to search out a Dan Wesson revolver in .22lr. Accurate as heck and useing the same trigger works as a 357 it has a great trigger pull. I picked one up for 400 dollars another guy on a forum just payed 365 for a 6". There out there , made in the '70s and early 80s but still great shooters with more like a 3lb sa and 6lb da trigger pull. And with the help of EWKarms you can change barrels , sights, heck, all kinds small parts.

I would say in a revolver an older S&W K-22 would serve you quite nicely. In an autoloader then I would go with S&W Model 41.
