I posted this as a reply to another thread, but I thought that it is worth sharing
I attended a CCW Course about a year ago. It was held at a really nice range.
The rules were that there would be no live ammo in the class room and you had to use the guns that they supplied.
The instructorsd were telling us that about a month and a half before the class I was in, they had a situation.
Two women from a anti hand gun group (they would not say which one) signed up for the course. Of course, the instructors did not know they were members of a anti gun group.
One of the instructors noticed that one of the women was starting to load live ammo into one of the guns. They disarmed her and checked the other class members and found the other woman with live ammo also.:banghead:
They immediately called the police. The police arrived, but said that they could not charge the women with anything.
The instructors gathered that the women were going for a gun discharge or a shooting to generate publicity for the anti gun movement.
This is really going too far. I cannot believe that they would actually risk bodily harm to someone to help their cause.

Johnny Blaze:

From some of the garbage that has issued from our anti gun friends, I would say that the stunt described might be all to believable.

They should be charged with something. If that happened where I had my carry class they would have had guns pointed at them! :what:

WOW :what: unfreakin believable. You are going way too far when you endanger the lives of others. Nothing fires me up more :banghead: :cuss: .

Intentionally rigging for an ND in ccw class?

...well, The anti-gun movement has never been about protecting lives anyway. I would like to say its shocking that someone would risk the lives of innocent people to prove a point, but somehow that seems to fit in perfectly with the left wings usual tactics.

I don't find this hard to believe except that they couldn't be charged with anything. They had CCW permits? The could legally be carrying a loaded weapon on private property? There was nothing like trespassing that could be pressed?

I suppose that turn around is fair play. Maybe we should populate their little get togethers and start converting them sureptitiously!;) :D

Class rules were unloaded firearms. Why would anyone deliberately and in tandem violate a primary safety rule in spite of class rules.

The CCH class I attended featured the instructor personally inspecting every firearm in the class. Ammo was stored either in vehicles or in the store. Reason? Simply because class members spent a fair amount pointing the firearm and pulling the trigger.

You might have been unconcerned but I would have been quite vocal over the event. I think they were up to no good. No way was it random stupidity.

I really don't see what the crime was. A woman was loading a gun, so what?

Remind me never to sit in any firearm class with you.

Did you miss the point about NO LIVE AMMO IN THE CLASSROOM? :banghead:

Hearsay.

I was where someone said that someone else (can't say whom or when) did this evil/bad thing.

DAMMIT! We should be outraged over this rumored behavior! (When, where, and by whom...unimportant)

It's good it worked out the way it did. To these screwballs, any publicity is good publicity - even if it means them getting arrested as a "martyr" for their cause. We heard this second hand on an internet gun forum, at least it didn't make CNN. The antis would have said, "See! Guns should be banned!"

If people are dumb enough to strap a bomb to their chests and blow themselves up in a market or mosk full of women and children, I can believe that some anti dumb nut would do that to make us look bad. especially with the media being one sided now adays.

i for one side with rangermonroe untill i see proof this is just like my mothers stepsisters uncles cusons friend who knows someone who has had reliable one shot stops with a .25 acp , sorry guys it dont pass the sniff test here . I am not questioning the original posters integraty i belive he was told this , but did it happen , there is no way to check , and who knows pigs may learn to whistle tonight lol

Two women from a anti hand gun group (they would not say which one) signed up for the course.

Why wouldn't they say what group? I smell BS!

This is the kind of rumor that I'm sure is rampant on anti-gun boards. "Some crazy pro-gun guys went and did ....................."

Give me some facts, Aunt Maude, not just rumor-mongering.

If it is true, the women need their asses whipped.

But I suspect it is all a bunch of shop/range talk. "It's true!! My Uncle Joe heard it from a retired drill instructor who loves Jesus and never lies, and he heard it at the American Legion meeting from a guy who was in the special forces."

Yeah. Right.

Don't be a Fienstein. Bring on solid and verifiable facts rather than believe what some idiot said. Hey, I heard that .50 calibers are shooting down jets, etc.

I've heard rumors of anti's "spiking" guns at gunshows to cause an AD for years. In every rumor they always get caught by someone. There have been numerous instances of AD's at gun shows, but they all the ones I'm aware of have been due to someone's stupidity (like a customer putting a loaded pistol in a holster to see if it fits, or a dealer sneaking in a loaded gun agains the rules, etc).

This sounds like a continuation of those rumors. I'd have to have more info before I'd believe it. I think it's a gun folk "urban legend."
