Antonin Scalia Countdown's Worst Person in the World!

Despite years of fog created by the NRA and right-wing organizations, that isn‘t very complicated; for the purposes of forming a state militia, you‘re entitled to keep and bear arms. Obviously, those would have to be the kind of use in arms since 1791, when the Bill of Rights was passed, the musket, the wheel-lock, the flint lock, the 13th century Chinese hand canon. Stuff like that.

Then, following his logic, "freedom of speech" and "freedom of the press" does not extend to electronic and broadcast media.

"arms" includes handguns and semi automatic weapons just like "press" means Cable, Television and Internet news.

This is why I watch Fox News. Fair and Balanced.

MSNBC is a house organ for the DNC and other progressive causes. As are CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC.

I have no more interest in Keith Olberman's opinions than I do in those of any wino in downtown Cleveland.

I have been to downtown Cleveland and have seen the winos. I have seen a few minutes of Keith Olberman's "analysis". Someone owes the winos of Cleveland an apology. ;)

So Scalia is worse than Kennedy in Olbermans eyes since Scalia went with the Constitution. But Kennedy is a hero since he voted that Louisianna can't execute a sick twisted child rapist....

I guess we can see where the left places it's priorities.

You know I can agree with the Louisianna case with logic and not emotion. The most severe punishment you have available is death.
If you use that for things less severe than the worst crimes, like those that result in the death of the victim, you elevate both crimes to the same level and even encourage the deaths of future victims.

If you tell every selfish sicko out there that they will be punished the same whether they kill the victim, getting rid of both physical evidence and the primary witness, as they will for letting them go afterwards you promote the death of such victims.
Would you rather some sicko that captured a loved one let them go afterwards? I know I would.
To encourage that result the punishment must be significantly less for releasing the victim, which poses a greater risk to the predator's capture than making the victim disappear forever.

It does not mean you have to be forgiving of such actions. It just means you have to logicly decide what is worse, a rape someone can try to move on from, or thier permanent death?

That explains why MSN is ranked last in ratings.

Funny, most people view it as a victory for the 2A, yet the far unreasonable left thinks it's a tragedy.

And our winner, Justice Antonin Scalia of the Supreme Court. You‘ve got around 30,000 gun deaths in this country per year, another 75,000 non-fatal gun wounds, half the suicides are by gun; and this clown and his four colleagues decided that the 32-year-old ban on handguns in Washington, D.C., and the demand that firearms kept in the home be locked or disassembled was unconstitutional based on the Second Amendment. You remember the Second Amendment, “a well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”

Keith Olberman is a sick and twisted thinker, just based on what he said here. Distorted all the facts, promoted a ton of lies, exaggerated the use of guns, blamed gun owners for crimes committed with illegal guns, etc... I wouldn't be surprised if Mr Olberman is a criminal himself, since criminals would most likely badmouth others simply because the criminal himself wants a scapegoat for his own twisted and pathetic logic.

I doubt that Olbermann has a criminal record. But he's certainly criminally overpaid to spout his Socialist poison 5 days a week.
I read recently that he spends $80,000 dollars a year for 4 box seats at Yankee Stadium.
So there's another reason to hate the creep. He's a Yankee fan.

Let’s not get carried away here! :D
Fox definitely leans to the right, but AFA Fair and Balanced they obviously do a better job than others (and the bar is set pretty low) in allowing (more of) the other side to present their views.
I do get a kick outta seeing Olbermann being on a rant only to have a guest present both (or the other) sides of a topic-you can often see Keith back it down a notch or two after a levelheaded guest speaks. Mebbe he realizes after hearing said guest that he (Keith) does appear to be a raving lunatic?

Anywho…been waiting for this video (the second below) to be posted-makes a nice comparison between FOX and MSNBC coverage?

Bill on the DC gun ban

This is before the case was decided-Megyn Kelly was spot on, and as usual, Lis Wiehl was…well, I’ve often wondered about that gal! From what I’ve seen of Wiehl on some of these segments she sounds like a prosecutor run amok!

O'Reilly vs Olbermann coverage of DC v Heller

Funny, most people view it as a victory for the 2A…
I think one commentator put it best…he said, “this is simply a victory for the English language”.
After all, the 2nd says what it says despite some folks’ refusal to admit it!

"Obviously, those would have to be the kind of use in arms since 1791, when the Bill of Rights was passed, the musket, the wheel-lock, the flint lock, the 13th century Chinese hand canon. Stuff like that..."

Interesting, since New York State was considering legislation to require background checks to purchase black powder muzzleloaders. It was being touted as "closing a loophole" in NY's gun laws. I have friends in Revolutionary War re-enactment groups who are pretty upset about this. It should be a non-starter even by "anti" standards. Let's see: They wear uniforms, they drill, their weapons use 18-century technology... Sounds like a well-regulated 1791 militia to me. Why the infringement?

Simple.Two words.New York.

Yeah, well... At least on the state level now we've got political deadlock on new gun laws: The State Senate passes them and the State Assembly throws them out. This one particular law was a Spitzer baby, and we can only hope it died along with his political career.

New York City is another story. It'll be interesting to see what happens there, post-Heller.

Since the anti-gunners like to tell us that the National Guard is our militia, I can only assume Mr. Olberman wants to take our National Guard armories back to 1791 weaponry. :uhoh:

More proof that he makes Nancy Grace look like a serious journalist.

30,000 gun deaths a year? That's tragic. What I don't get is how one tells if a gun is really dead. Is that when it stops working? Poor guns...

This is really great! I'd like to use it.

Wow. I really like Keith, he usually seems to have his head screwed on right. But if that's how he really feels, rather than just a script he was reading....I might have to reconsider how smart the fella really is.

So you say you have never seen Countdown with Keith Olbermann eh? :) I guess that helps explains why MSNBC's ratings are in the dump.

I used to like the guy when he was doing sports. I figure he must be related to someone high up at NBC or must have pictures of Jeff Zucker doing something really, really, naughty, because the guy is a complete hack. He makes about as much sense as the other anti-gun groups and people, which means they spew out their opinions and then pass them off as fact and truth.

Scalia should consider it an honor to get the "worst person in the world" from Olbermann, because about 98.80% of the time, that means you are doing something really right.

Keith Olberman, a man I have likely never watched becuase I'm new in America, what an anti-American. What a nut. If he doesn't see the necessities with legal gun ownership so that a militia can be formed and take down a corrupt government, does he deserve to live under the protective wings of freedom? He doesn't want freedom to be able to defend itself! That America is a free country is "fine" with him, but nothing that is partly his obligation to fight for. He deserves no freedom. The whiner should be bagged, sent to North Korea. What a nut.

Keith Olberman doesn't see that if an individual can't carry arms, according to him, then a militia can't either. How can a militia form unless given some sort of approval from the legal system, according to his logic? The moment an individual takes to fire arms and yells "let's take the suckers down" he is breaking the law because no one approved of that militia spring up.

Freedom will die fast at the hands of this piece of ****. I hope he gets cancer soon.

Wow, Orange Magnum! I wouldn't spend too much emotion on him. He's actually a very good indicator of how pathetic TV journalism has become. He is not just anti-freedom, he's also a complete joke, who takes himself very seriously. He likes to lecture the President and other important figures, as if they cared what he had to say, or even paid attention to him. And the truly funny part is that his network lets him pretend to be a real journalist. I was amazed to see him covering the death of Tim Russert, as if he were fit to even speak the name of a serious newsman.

And the Internet Oscar for writing on a pro firearms message board goes to:

Bobarino
lest thine choose to distribute thine opines by the pen, then ye shall hand set the type in towne's pressing shop and crank the handle and replenish the squid ink as to replicate thine wares upon which ye may ride them from towne to towne on horseback and charge no more than two Schillings to those whom you wish to inform of your wrongfully brought upon conclusions.

Now that's funny right there.

haha! thanks Waynesan. i humbly accept this honor. i couldn't have done it without idiots like Olberman, who wrote such mindless drivel, making it possible to respond as such. :)

Bobby

Olberman? Hahahahaha

The guy whose private corporation owes $ 1,000,000+ to the state of NY in back taxes? The 48 yr old man shacked up with a 26 yr old girl?

Sounds like ya can't insult him - nature got there first
