Hi Y'all -

I'm interested in gauging demand for lead (BHN 18) 95 grain .380 RN bullets. We have the mould set now and are awaiting the collator and lubrisizer pieces to complete the manufacturing ensemble necessary to produce these things.

I'm thinking we're going to sell these tiny little dudes in 1k lots only, for around $42.00 per thousand (minus, of course, the 5% THR discount mentioned in another thread.)

We're not taking orders yet but I am curious whether you guys would be interested. Let me know.

Thank you.

Brad

Yes
Looked at your site first to buy some and ended up going elsewhere when I didn't see 'em

I always try to have 95gr LRN bullets on hand for loading in the .380 Auto. I load them to about 800 fps for easy and accurate practice with my Beretta 84 and Bersa Series 95. They make nice tight groups and the brass ends up in a small pile a couple of feet to my right.

Not every bullet caster bothers to make these rather specialized bullets. Another supplier is always a plus!

When I casted bullets commercially, the RCBS 38-90-RN bullet I cast sold very well. I think you'll do fine with it and I agree on the 1K lot unit. With the alloy I was using they dropped at 95gr no problem.

Try a few in 9mm. They are a blast.

Please start making these soon. I have a CZ-83 in .380ACP and I can't find ammo for it. At the price you mentioned, I'll gladly start loading for it.

I'll eventually get some primers gathered up, :banghead: and when I do I'd like to give some a try too.
I've already got you bookmarked and I'm sit'n on go.

With all the LCPs being sold these days, and the shortage of .380 ammo, I would think this would be an instant winner.

I know I'd take 1000 right off the bat. I already have the LCP and the dies, the empty cases, the primers and powder. :)

.380 Bullet Availability

Well, here's what I just emailed another interested person who had inquired:

Hi Randy -

Well, here's where we are: We have the moulds and have cast 7,000 of those bullets (man, they're tiny! They look like little molars!). We have the Magma Engineering drop tube, bushing, and transfer bar. What we don't have yet is the M-A Systems collator plate and upper tubing assembly. Should have had it a week ago. I call every day. Today they told me (again) that they would try to get it out "today."

Looks like it will be mid-week next week before we'll have any sized and lubed. But if you check back, you will find them very soon.

Thank you for your patience.
