Any experince with a XD9

I have one and LOVE it. It is the best of both the Glock and 1911. I would say yes get one.

I've shot both Glocks and an XD-9, and prefer the latter due to the grip angle. It's similar to a BHP and points much better for me.

I agree with Dave Markowitz. The one I shot was easy to point and had a better trigger than a Glock. I'm not Glock bashing, just stating my own limited experience.

I'm glad to hear the positive (other than finish) comments, as I have mentioned in an earlier post my dept. is getting rid of our S&W 4043s and are going to the XD9s. The current basic class has been issued the XDs now and the rest of us will be changing over later this year. The newbies seem to be having no weapon related problems during training and qualification. We will have to see how they stand up to day to day carry by a group than has the ability to tear up a rock!??!
