Any FLIR out there under 3k?

Night vision doesn't thrill me, FLIR does. Is it still too expensive to be practical?

2007 BMW's have FLIR but yes it is very expensive and may not be that effective to what you need, what is it you want to use it for? You might find that GEN 3 or 4 NVG's might work better even gen 2 mostly because this stuff is cheaper the last FLIR stuff I looked at cost in the area of 10k plus for military grade optics.

FLIR is unmatched compared even to GEN IV. When you consider that ten years ago you were looking at almost half a million for something that runs about 10 grand these days it is a bargain.

I realize that FLIR is unmatched but for the application it may not meed the needs of the user price wise.
