Any help with what choke this thing takes?

If you run through the other manufacturer's offerings and can't find a suitable fit, before I had a barrel cut and rechoked, or sent a tube to Briley for a one-off, I think I'd price out a replacement Remington factory choked barrel.

Remington was the last manufacturer to offer interchangeable tubes. I sent a barrel off back in the day to have it threaded and I can no longer remember for sure where, but it might have been these guys.

At any rate they supplied their own tubes that were not compatible with any others, at least at that time. At any rate this is a good resource to see what is available.

The more I look around their website the more I think it was the "Thin Wall" tubes that I got. IIRC part of the reason Remington was late to the choke tube game was due to thinner barrel steel making it harder to thread barrels. The versions made for tubes had thicker steel than older Remingtons. The older ones required a special, thinner tube.

They made a lot of them that extended past the end of the barrel in order to get the constriction outside the factory barrel.

I definitely think this could be it.
It is a very thin walled choke.
When attempting to install the Rem Choke, the threads wouldn't even begin to enter the barrel.

Can you measure the number of threads per inch? If it’s different then the Remington standard chokes, a couple phone calls should be able to settle out who makes a joke with that many threads per inch

I went to Colonial Choke and Tool's website and sent them a message.
They were very quick to respond via email and I sent pics, along with some measurements they asked me to take.

They are confident the extended choke is theirs, so I went ahead and ordered a standard flush full choke (because you need one of those anyway) to make sure.

I'll report back when I get it, but he seemed sure it was theirs.
When I confirm it, I'll order the others that you need in the stable (Imp Cyl, Mod, X-full, and probably a .665 turkey choke).

Anyway, they seem like a great company. Very helpful and very fast response.

Totally up to you but consider ordering a Light Modified choke. It falls between IC and M. For wing shooting I use LM more than any other choke. Many others do too. Some companies call their LM chokes Skeet 2.
