Any love for the 709 Slim?

I had one for a while. I shot several boxes of ammo through it and no problems. I traded it in on something else because the 709 turned out to be troublesome for someone with extremely long fingers.

I think I have owned 14 Taurii, and have had trouble with only one of them.

I'm very happy with my 709. No issues at all, it's fired everything I've fed it and the recoil is very manageable for such a small gun. The trigger pull does take a bit of getting used to, and I find that I'm more accurate with an aftermarket extended floorplate on the magazine.

I've had no problem finding a selection of holsters and accessories, the 709 was one of the first sub-$400 pocket 9mm pistols and one of the more popular of those early choices. The aftermarket had at least three years to build support for the 709 prior to the Shield hitting the market.

Carry the PT 709 in the Summer and the G19 in the winter.... Ok if I'm lazy I take the PT 709 cause I hardly know it's there. I've never owned a CCW that was soo comfortable. No complaints

My ffl called me late today to let me know my pistol had arrived. I will pick it up tomorrow, clean, and take to the range.

I am looking forward to shooting this pistol, and of course, I will let you guys know about the experience.

I realize that there are a lot of haters out there (after shooting, I may be one), however my gut tells me that this could be a good one to have. We'll see...

Picked up my new 709 few days ago put 100 rounds through it JHP & reloads RN all good and accurate, did not notice recoil but I'm use to shooting 45qcp and 40 s&w, trigger at first seem difficult but after 25 rounds learned how to control it.

Appears to be a good gun, fun, accurate, small easy to carry, down side right now is no magazines to be found.

I ran it very wet during break in seems to work well for me with small auto's.

I bought one when they first came out in ''09''? I've put about 1400 rounds thru it.
Mostly it gets carried in the summer or when I'm needing something less bulky to carry.
While it may not be on the same level as say, my Sig 239 or 229, I never give carrying it a second thought.
