Hello THR members....tackbustr down in Texas here... this is my 1st message on this fine forum so please bear with me.

I have recently been assembling reloading equip for another run at it (last time was 30 yrs ago) yikes!!

I have all the equip I need except my old timey Lee single primer hand held squeeze priming tool (presses in just 1 primer at a time) not the new auto primer w/ the tray....can't afford that one on my SS and only load a few (25 to 50) .38 cal wad cutters at a time. Like the "feel" of seating that primer down in the pocket flush or a little below.
If any of you fellow reloaders know any LGS that carry these old style ones or if any of you have upgraded and want to sell yours I would sure be interested... this is all I lack to begin my "2nd time around" reloading experience. I have the 38/357 lee/rcbs shell holders for it I got at my LGS
thanks for all your help in this matter...
THR reloaders forum has come highly recommended to me by all my buds on the S&W, Dan Wesson, RFC and Marlin forums !! :)

I saw one yesterday at the Hunter's Swap Meet in Cody. No idea where it went, or even if it sold. It was in the original box, and looked unused.

I have one my grandfather had to reload 06 ammo with that I inherited and only have that head for it. It is a good product and don't see why they (Lee) still don't support or make it again as the patent must have run out from the origination Lee custom fiasco. I am going to Email Lee and see if they will custom make them, or parts for them still.

Thanks stubbie for the Lee auto prime kit

Thanks to stubbie on the forum for generously giving me his Lee Auto Prime kit with many shell holders... he is a fine gentleman and may God bless him richly!

Too many had tray explosions when the primer being installed went off. New design keeps the tray separate from the working one. Lee won't sell parts for these anymore. They just want them to disappear and everyone use the new one. Auto prime II was a press mounted version, same problem with whole bunch going off, NLA as well.

I am talking about the SINGLE handheld primer Lee Custom Engineering made with the screw in heads. It has NO PRIMING TRAY! That is also what the OP was asking about in the first place.:scrutiny:

Oh I misread the OP too, I have one of the old single primers and that is a good sturdy tool. It is the Auto Prime that is so weak in the handle and is crap.
Can the screw in shell holders still be had for the old single tool?
I think it is the title that is misleading, it says auto primer.
