These guns caught my eye in a magazine but I dont know much about them. Checked out the site, paraord.com and saw some nice items. Just wanted to get some user opinions. There is a 9mm Hawg and a .45 NiteHawg among other interesting designs. Any one out there have a Para like these or similar? Seem a little pricey, figure I'd check to see if they are worth it.

I have no insight, but I would really like a compact 1911 in 9mm, just because. The Para's are double stack right? Maybe SA will release they're Defender in 9mm, might sell better than a GAP pistol;)

Suppose to be a single stack hog coming in 45 will be a 7+1 instead of 10+1. I had the P-10 and factory rebuild mine No Charge as had all kinds of exjection and feeding trouble. They took care of about 98% I found that 185 gr bullets and lighter made it a 100%. But wasn't really that much easier to carry than my Commander .

The only one I have seen is the Wart Hog.

I saw a write up in a mag and thought this would be a great CCW.

Was at a shop that had one and asked to see it, liked the looks, fit and finish were fine.

It felt like a fat Glock in my big hands, sadness and dissapointment.

I was really wanting to like this pistol.

Maybe it will fit you better.

I carry a Warthog regularly in a Highnoon IWB. Yes the grip is fat, but the pistol is light, has a sweet trigger, is surprisingly accurate and easy for me to shoot after installing fingergroove grips and grip extensions for the magazines, and holds 10+1 of .45acp in a compact package. If the grip doesn't bother you I'd recommend it.

How would a 7+1 Hawg single stack be any different from Para's existing C7 carry offering?

I have a Para Carry LDA,it's a single stack,6+1,and it's almost as thin as my Kahr K40.I'm not positive, but I don't think the Warthog has the LDA trigger, due to the fact it has a spurred hammer.Someone that owns a Hawg please correct me if I'm wrong,,,

The Warthog has the 1911 style SA trigger which I prefer. The LDA trigger is nice, but I just shoot a shorter pull trigger more accurately.

yeah according to the magazine its sa, spose to be carried cocked n locked. a mini 1911 in 9mm. I want one too..

If we are still talking about the warthog it's a .45acp not 9mm and is 10+1.

If we are talking about something else, then never mind.

I really wanted to like the Warthog, but it just doesn't fit. Curse these big hands of mine. lol
