<RANT>So, this guy complied with the robbers and was shot anyway. I just don't see a reason to not carry a gun if you are in a permissive state like Florida and have a job like a pizza deliveryman. Especially in Miami! The only reason I can think of is that management disapproves. I guess if he had a 100K job that was not easily replacable, he would be concerned. But should a pizza deliveryman be worried about being canned? He can get another job in a day. I don't get it. I think people believe in karma and think that if they don't arm themselves, then they won't be a victim of armed violence. What a crock of crapola that is.</RANT>

Pizza deliverer robbed, shot in the leg
The potential perils of delivering pizza became evident Tuesday night when a delivery person was robbed and shot.
The victim arrived at a home at 1281 NW 202nd St. in North Miami-Dade about 9 p.m. when he discovered the dwelling was abandoned.
Out of the darkness, he was pounced upon by three men, at least one of them armed. They ordered him to surrender the pie and all the money he was carrying. He did, only to be shot in the leg by one of the robbers, all of whom fled.
The victim was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
Anyone with information on the crime is urged to call Crimestoppers at 305-471-8477.
