I got mine before it was VE has a nightb front sight $200 if I remember,, and I learned to enjoy the trigger. It also made me a better shot. Wish I shot it more. I'd trust my life to it.
I carried a Sigma 9mm while doing a 4 month security gig in the Nevada desert back in 2007. I still have that pistol. One of my favorite pistols is my SD9VE.
Sure .. some people complain about the heavier trigger …I don’t.. mine has the stock trigger..
It does seem heavy. but hits a positive wall breaks clean …. 100% reliable with anything… Im accurate with mine .. my 125lb wife loves to shoot it ( with gloves ) aggressive grip texture.. she shoots it well ..
better than my well worn 19 ..
My first Sigma I purchased in 95 it was in 40 S&W
absolutely great pistol…Heavy trigger ..I ran thousands of rounds through that pistol ..
I gave it to a friend… he still has it ..
My SD9VE has a certain duty … because of its amazing reliability.. and how my wife shoots it
Its pure home duty .. on our nightstand
loaded with Winchester 147 Silver Tips sub-sonic

You have to be careful when replacing the trigger pin it can go in backwards very easy, but it will walk itself out after about 30 rounds a lesson I learned the hard way.An Apex trigger made mine a completely different gun. Try it, you'll like it.

The original was the Sigma, which apparently was the one Glock sued over, then they made changes which gave us the SD and then the SD VE.I had a 9 MM version. I got it in a trade years ago in new condition. I don't recall exactly what it entailed but there were videos and instructions on how to reduce trigger pull which I did. It was pretty good after that, and I won a club match with it. I have been told that they are a copy of a Glock and Glock sued them. IDK.
