Any SD9VE fans here

I got mine before it was VE has a nightb front sight $200 if I remember,, and I learned to enjoy the trigger. It also made me a better shot. Wish I shot it more. I'd trust my life to it.

Had one and liked it. Installed the Apex and liked it even more. But I traded it away in favor of a Sig 320, which I traded for something else when I decided the trigger was too light and no safety for carry. Then recently bought another 320 when I realized I didn't own a 9mm striker-fired gun, had Sig do a bit of trigger work on it when they "fixed" it on the voluntary recall. and now I still won't carry it 'cause the trigger is too light and no safety...but it's sure a neat range gun.

One of my favorite pistols is my SD9VE.
Sure .. some people complain about the heavier trigger …I don’t.. mine has the stock trigger..
It does seem heavy. but hits a positive wall breaks clean …. 100% reliable with anything… Im accurate with mine .. my 125lb wife loves to shoot it ( with gloves ) aggressive grip texture.. she shoots it well ..
better than my well worn 19 ..

My first Sigma I purchased in 95 it was in 40 S&W
absolutely great pistol…Heavy trigger ..I ran thousands of rounds through that pistol ..
I gave it to a friend… he still has it ..

My SD9VE has a certain duty … because of its amazing reliability.. and how my wife shoots it
Its pure home duty .. on our nightstand
loaded with Winchester 147 Silver Tips sub-sonic

I carried a Sigma 9mm while doing a 4 month security gig in the Nevada desert back in 2007. I still have that pistol.

An Apex trigger made mine a completely different gun. Try it, you'll like it.

Yup--at $300 they were a good low cost option--at the current $400 price, it's not really a good choice with similar or slightly higher priced offerings out there.

The trigger isn't really all that bad- I was able to shoot mine better than my Gen 1 M&P's with their horrible triggers.

They were basically a Glock at nearly half the price but now they've priced themselves out of their niche.

You have to be careful when replacing the trigger pin it can go in backwards very easy, but it will walk itself out after about 30 rounds a lesson I learned the hard way.

It was a pretty easy install, I just watched the videos that are on the Apex site linked above. No issues.

I just couldn't get over the trigger with mine. Apex'ed it with the aftermarket springs and trigger. It still sucked.

It feels MUCH better than a Glock in my hand, and at least for the plinking I've done with it, it was 100% reliable. I'd probably take it straight-up over a Glock 19 if it had the Glock's trigger, but alas.

I had a 9 MM version. I got it in a trade years ago in new condition. I don't recall exactly what it entailed but there were videos and instructions on how to reduce trigger pull which I did. It was pretty good after that, and I won a club match with it. I have been told that they are a copy of a Glock and Glock sued them. IDK.

The original was the Sigma, which apparently was the one Glock sued over, then they made changes which gave us the SD and then the SD VE.
