Hey!
I'm a proud owner of a Superior Arms M4A3. It's my first AR-15, but have never seen any issues with it. There's a few threads where Superior Arms is mentioned, but I was just curious if there were any owners out there that wanted to drop their opinion here...or anyone that's familiar with reliability or keen on em :)

Thanks!

welcome to the family of AR owners, i'm not a Superior Arms owner but when i was looking for a M4 they where on my list of Options, i end up with a CMMG M4 which i'm very very happy with, and yeah if i get another AR i may get a Superior Arms our build on their Lower. BTW where are the pics...???:neener:

HaHa...Let the M4 Porn begin :D

Here's my S-15 Superior Arms carbine. I love this boomstick. Two toned. Very, very accurate. When I went to get it, I got to tour the plant where it was made. The guys at Superior Arms are really great and friendly. My next rifle will probably be from them.

Wow! That two tone is Awesome! I've never seen that before...didn't see that on their site either. You should email them that pic for their 'customer photos' section on their website, it's nicer than the others posted there. I'm impressed :)

I've been considering an M4 for some time now. Just haven't been able to justify it.

I have plenty of HD options (12 ga, 9mm, .38spl) and plenty of hunting gear. I'm not too concerned about armageddon; if a disaster happens, I think I'm better off with the 12ga. any way.

So, my only reason to get it would be to punch paper at the range. And, I just think they look cool. I had fun shooting them in the service (junk M16A1's at the time), but don't have any other justifiable reason.

Someone convince me! There's a "3 week old, shot twice" flat top S&W at a local shop for $750 that almost got me to bite.

Seabee, here's what you do... Think firearms training course. You NEED an M-4 variant to take a tactical rifle course of some sort. So there you go. You have a justifiable NEED to get a good M-4 type carbine. While you're at it... You're also going to NEED some ammo. And you might also NEED a tactical scope of some sort too. And you don't want to go to the course looking like a pauper so you might also NEED some decent fatiques... See how easy I make things for you? You could keep working this need thing until the cows come home... :neener:

Seabee, "I just think they look cool" seems like a pretty justifiable reason to get one ;) But really, they are great fun! I've only had mine for a few months now but it is my favorite rifle. As you know from the service they are easy to shoot, and get some great looks from people not knowing much about AR's. I have had some great times so far taking friends out shooting and getting together with the guys. And $750 seems very reasonable nowadays for a S&W like that.

Superior Arms M4

Hey guys, I picked up a Superior Arms S-15 M4 a while back and I love it ! Great price and its been very reliable, I shoot weekly on my range. I just put a Bausch & Lomb 2.5-8x on it and the accuracy is great. Nice to hear some other feed back on these as there is not a lot of press out there, I got mine at Jensen Arms in Loveland, they speak very highly of the people at Superior.

Hey Kejam...I got mine from Jensen Arms also. I think Johnny helped me, he's was awesome and yea, the price was right and they were very nice and helpful there. Thats a great store there, hope they keep selling alot of Superior Arms rifles out there. I'm planning on making a trip back up there as I live an hour away to pickup ammo and whatnot!

Nice looking rifle BTW :)

Hey there, I'm a newbie to the black rifle. But recently picked a S-16 M4 from Superior Arms. Been happy with it. I chatted with the salesman a bit, and asked what the difference between the Superior Arms rifles, and the others on the shelf (think there was a Bushmaster, and a few others). The Superior was less expensive to the exactly similar Bushy. He explained they are a smaller company and can keep a better eye on tolerences. He also mentioned the quite a few of the local police departments are using Superior, and that he has never heard a bad thing about them. Also, not sure if anyone has gone to their website, complete rifles come with a lifetime warranty. Now I don't know what other manufacturers offer, but I kinda doubt it is lifetime, which says a lot about a compoany if they stand by their product like that.

I've had a Superior Arms lower for 3-4 years now. It's worked fine for everything I needed up until now.

I've recently picked up 13 Magpul Pmags, and they do not fit at all in the SA lower.

It has now been replaced by a Mega.

The SA lower works great with USGI mags.

I almost bought one once... from Jensen Arms. :) Maybe it was yours?

I ended up picking up a Rock River Middy and a Rock River Std. A2 instead.

Not to drift the topic, but I don't want to get yelled at for not posting pictures. :)

Nice rifles MDeViney! Hey GunNut, glad you mentioned you had issues with the magpul magazines. I was going to pick some up, but think I will decide against it. I've been using the thermold (found some for $9.99) and they have worked great so far, and are very low cost :)

Pmags

I was told when I got my Superior M4 that it did not accept PMAGS. No big deal to me. Anyway..... Still liking my rifle, had a nice range day yesterday afternoon, I put about 300 rounds of Wolf through it without a hiccup. So far after about 1500 rounds it has run flawlessly eating everything I feed it.

Arite...added a few things...so of course I need to post a new pic! Still loving my SA rifle...and for mags, I've been using the thermold without any issues at all. I've found the 30 rd thermold magazines for $11 each!

Pmag ??

Gunguy,

I do not know.... But again I see no need to mess with it. Mags are cheap and plentiful ( at the moment ) . Maybe I am just ignorant to the appeal of a PMAG, durability I would assume. I will ask around.

P.S. - My rifle is still running strong, Ive had a few 300-400 hundred round weekends without cleaning and she still runs like a champ.

Re: Any Superior Arms M4 owners out there ?

I have a Superior Arms S-15 M4.

I love it ! It has been absolutely reliable and a hoot to shoot !
