I recently acquired a Glock 21, 45 ACP. Now, I already conceal a 23 or 27; however, I am hesitant about comfort with a Glock 21.

I was only intending to use the 21 for Targets and home defense.

Thanks.

Small of the back holster unless you are going to be sitting down. I have to disarm myself when I get in my car. Right now I can only OC, don't have my CCW yet, so I don't wear it "out," just around the house to get used to it.

A shirt with a gunpocket or a jacket is almost a requirement I think if you are going anywhere that you may have to sit down/use the restroom, or wear it on your hip with an oversize shirt, but still uncomfortable in the car that way. I am planning on wearing my XD in my shirt pocket or SOB, depending on the situation.

I carry deep, i'm not changing the way i dress or my life style for the size of the gun i have. I pick a gun that works around me. If i want to turn my m&p 9c into a m&p full size all i have to do is do a mag change and boom i'm there. It all comes down to the grip size because that is the part that is going to stick out the most. A good amount of the time i take my flat bottom magazine over my pinkey extension just because it makes me feel less exposed. Never in a 100 years will you see me carrying a full size weapon, why just because i'm a small framed guy and its like asking me to carry a dumbbell.

I've been carrying my fs Sig P220 .45 since I've had to send my EDC Taurus PT709 for a few trips back to the factory....I hate carrying it. I've tried OtW and my usual ItW no matter its a pain in the a** to conceal and totally uncomfortable, I don't know how people carry a fs pistol all the time, but more power to them ;)
Since the Taurus is repaired I've sold it and just need to meet the buyer to do the transaction, I have a Kahr K9 waiting for pick up at the LGS...I CAN NOT wait to get a slim small carry piece back.

That being said i could carry a glock 17 or a glock 20 Mexican style with a NY trigger and not think twice about it going off. Thats how NYPD narcotics agents carried deep cover during stings and they never had to worry about a AD. It would not suit my lifestyle but it would get the job done i don't see the need most shootings happen within what is it 6 feet its been proven. I have 12+1 in my baby gun so i have plenty and if i need more i'll run back to my car. I hear about all these guys who carry extra magazines on them and have a EDC page. What are you planning for dooms day? As Jeff Cooper would say

"It has never been clear to me why increased magazine capacity in a defensive pistol is particularly choice. The bigger the magazine the bigger the gun, and the bigger the gun the harder it is to get hold of for people with small hands. And what, pray, does one need all those rounds for? How many lethal antagonists do you think you are going to be able to handle? Once when Bruce Nelson was asked by a suspect if the thirteen-round magazine in the P35 was not a big advantage, Bruce's answer was, "Well, yes, if you plan to miss a lot." The highest score I know of at this time achieved by one man against a group of armed adversaries was recorded in (of all places) the Ivory Coast! There, some years ago, a graduate student of mine laid out five goblins, with four dead and one totaled for the hospital. Of course there is the episode of Alvin York and his eight, but there is some dispute about that tale. (If you read it over very carefully you will see what I mean.) Be that as it may, I see no real need for a double column magazine. It is all the rage, of course, and like dual air bags, it is a popular current sales gimmick."

I would characterize the G21 as more of an "extra large" than a "standard" size due to its grip and slide width, with the G17 as the "standard." Its girth is somewhat mitigated by its relatively light weight, but you will definitely need to "dress around" this gun.

I often carry my full size 1911, of course it is a lot thinner than a G21 but probably heavier too. With a good gun belt all things are possible.

I carry a Walther PPK in .380... Nice size and weight. They make a holster with no clips or belt loops, just a smooth holster for in the pocket. Gun rides good and does not slide around. Comfortable with easy access. Easy to remove when seating in car,ETC.... Any comments? New law in Kentucky, for anyone, licened or not.. Glove box carry, loaded or not, Locked or not, legal carry...as long as glovebox is " Original Equipment " on vehicle.

Some of us can dress casually and not worry about dress codes; hence the full size carries.

The smallest gun I carry is the 3 in sp101

The biggest is the CZ75

5" Springfield Armory 'GI-45' with an IWB holster..in a sort of 'appendix carry' location like 11 o'clock

I tote a SIG 220 Carry model comfortably and well-concealed in an iwb holster. No, it's not an LCP or a 3AT but I carry it pretty darn comfortably most of the time (yeah, an LCP rides with me during those times when anything much bigger is inappropriate in terms of the state of my climate induced attire) and nine rounds of .45 ACP makes me feel more "comfortable" than seven rounds of .380 ACP ever will, and for good reason.

I use a standard sized handgun whenever I can wear a shirt untucked. I wear it in a Galco OWB holster and cover everything up with the un-tucked shirt.

Untucked and preferably with a jacket of sorts I carry a CZ75B at 3 o'clock in a high ride canted forward. I've been considering a single-stack 9mm for dressier occasions.

Have "parked" my 1911s and Warthog (45 Para-11 shot) for a wee little 232 Sig in 380. It is stainless, slim, light, and very accurate. Before it I carried a Makorov briefly. Getting lazy in my old age. The 45s are not very far away at any given time-just in case. :D

Weapon the size of FN P-35 isn't that hard to conceal.

I've recently started carrying my CZ Phantom in a OWB holster with a baggy shirt. It stays pretty concealed. It prints a little though. Nobody has seemed to notice yet.

Carry a Glock 23.

Also have a P228 that I'll carry as well when I get a decent holster for it.

I also carried a Glock 22 but found it a little bit large to conceal - I could do it but I decided to use the Glock 23 instead. It has turned out to be a bit easier.
