Anybody have experience with OpticsPlanet.com ?

Does anybody here have experience with Opticsplanet.com? I'm thinking about ordering a scope from them, as they have the best price I've found, but I want to know if they are pleasant to deal with, ship quickly, etc.

Comments/suggestions/recommendations? Thanks!

I've ordered from them several times, and my items generally arrive the the day after I order them. Everything has been securely packaged. I purchased a Leupold spotting scope and a Leupold range finder from them, best prices I could find. Make sure to use their current 5% off coupon.

The only exception is some Butler Creek lense covers that are out of stock. I've been waiting on those for a bit. They let me know right away and asked if I wanted to cancel my order or wait. I chose to wait.

I ordered 2 magazines for my P94. I payed for 2 day air shipping. I ordered them on Friday, I got them the following Wed. I called them on tues., the day before I got them and they gave me a two page list of the fine print about their shipping.

The "clips" were awful. The springs got stuck in one of them the second time I tried loading it. The cause my P94 to jam. I`ve honestly never had that problem with it before using their clips. It jams the input cartridge because the springs in the clip are constantly hanging up and don`t have enough pressure to push the bullets. I tried to contact them about a return and was put on hold for twenty minutes, I guess since I didn`t hang up they decided to pick back up. They then transfered me and I was on hold for another 15 minutes only to be told that I had to call a different number because they were unsure if the items were returnable.


Now I am a slow typest and this long answer should let you know what I think them. Go take your business elsewhere.

Avoid Them Like The Plague!

I tried to order RX sunglasses from them while I was deployed. After two weeks with no shipment notice, and two more weeks e-mailing them and getting the run around they finally told that the glasses I wanted were no longer available after someone previously told me that their RX lab was putting a rush on the order because of the delays. It took them another week to credit the money back to my card. Their customer service is terrible and I'll not attempt to order anything from them ever again.
