Have any of you guys put red dot scopes on your lever action hunting rifles. How have your results been. I kind of like the idea of an old school look with a new technology scope.

What type of red dot did you put on it?

I had onr mounted for awhile on a Rossi 92 in 357 mag, in the scout set up, worked well, but have gone to the scope now for a bit more accuracy

I had one on my Marlin 1895G for a while. It worked nicely, but sort of fouled-up the carrying qualities, IMO. Couldn't just grab it at the balance point and go anymore.

I switched to a Williams "Foolproof" receiver sight and one of their "Firesight" fronts. Just as fast to acquire a good sight picture with, and groups a bit better out at 100 yds, at least for me.

I mounted a Trashco red dot on my Browning BL-22 with good results----the action is so tiny that I couldn't get any standard optics to fit very well-------the red dot seems a perfect match on this.

I had an aimpoint on a Marlin 336 for awhile. I liked it. I never shot it for groups, but it was a pretty handy plinker.
