Anybody reload 7.62x39 for ak or sks

Probably wouldn't hurt the accuracy either! AK barrels are notoriously loose. I've slugged plenty of them and they are so widely inconsistent! Snug fit is better!

Can you get .308 dia up to .311 or .312 when powder coating? Or is it too thin of a coat?
No, the bullets I use cast at either .312 or .314 and I size down after powder coat to .311. Don't try to size up with powder coat, not a great idea. Only 7.62x39 bore I ever ran into that was .308 with the very first Ruger Ranch 7.62x39mm barrels - all the rest have been .310 or .311.

I've never powder coated, how thick is the coating? Ever have any issues with it building up in a bore?

Not at all - it cleans the bore better than you might think. I've shot 50 rounds of powder coated 9mm and the bore looks pristine. It's NOT, of course, but the fouling is really minimized, especially over regular non jacketed lead bullets.
