the trigger of the one i played with at last year's shot show was horrible. don't know if that has been fixed or not. i would be interested if they were like $300.

Yep. FN owns Browning; Browning usually markets FN guns in America. I've heard that FN is going to be marketing all of its own guns by themselves soon, though.

I almost bought an FN FortyNine...almost. Heavy damn trigger, 12lbs at least, DAO, and every time youd pull on the trigger, you could feel the side of the poly fram sweel at least 1/8"...not very confidence inspiring, IMO...

Seen one. Picked it up. Put it back down. 1- I don't like guns where the safety is highlighted with a different finish than the frame. 2- FN makes essentially the same gun, if you like the Browning version, I would recommend getting the FN instead. Browning is a bit weird when it comes to handguns.
