I'm looking into purchasing one of the new 2008 Model 70s from Winchester, the Extreme Weather SS model. It's primarily going to be for hunting, but I'd like to have fun at the range with it too. I'm planning on 30'06 since it seems to be more versatile (can load heavier bullets than the 308 from what I can see...) Also, ammunition availability looks great.
Anybody actually seen one of these rifles in person? I'm looking for a really solid bolt action rifle, and this seems to be a really nice action, and trigger set.
