Anyone bought one of the used CZ75s from Wideners?

On the exterior, these things definitely spent a lot of time in holsters. The pics you can see on Gunbroker are pretty representative. The interior though, looks like it was barely shot. Bright shiny bore, and the trigger pull is amazing (which is what I was hoping for). Sights are definitely military, not the new three dot on the B models, but functional. The mags I got with it are of different designs, but they all functioned.

Overall, they would be great shooters, and if you wanted to make it a project gun and reblue or otherwise refinish it, they would look amazing.

I picked mine up on Friday. The import stamp is small and on the left front of the slide. Maybe 1/8" tall by 1 1/4 long "PW Arms Redmon WA". Finish is pretty good, just a few wear points on some of the edges and a small scrape on the front strap. Black epoxie finish so a redo would be easy. The right hand grip panel is a bit scraped up on the edges from being carryed. Mfd in 1991 if I am reading the spamp right on the ejection port. # match on the slide barrel and frame. No # on the mag. Two dot rear sight with a bar sort of ramp on the front. I am going to order a couple of the extra mags from Robertson's. But I may try one of the new CZ 75 mags from CDNN when I get the time and money. Not a bad deal as far as I am concerend. $340.00 for the gun shipped to my FFL, $10. for transfer and I am out the door for $350.

Evolution of the CZ 85

Hi Gents,

Maybe I can be of help here on the issue of "B" and "Pre-B" CZ pistols. I wrote a seven part article comparing the '85 and '85B and it deals largely with the differences made to these guns over the years. As a Word document it was 25 pages long and contained 27 photos showing the differences.

I write under the pseudonym "JayPee", which is my username here at THR, or simply "JP". The article and its photos are copyrighted to me, and I say this just to assure the admins that I am in compliance with THR's copyright rules. The article begins with this photograph:

The article can be found on a blog I share with a good friend. You can get to the article at this link: http://guntalkers.blogspot.com/2011/01/evolution-of-cz85-by-jp.html

Hope it helps. Best to all.

Got my 75 in at The Revolver Armorer for a semi-gloss black Gun Kote treatment. I'm thinking either a nice set of Hogue wood grips or one of VZ Grips G10 sets. Don't know which one I'll do yet.

Those of you that have bought one of these... how do they shoot? Are they accurate? I'm okay with holster wear; I'm looking for a good shooter.
Thanks!

I can answer my own question now, in case anyone else had the same question. I bought a CZ75-2 from Wideners (the newer style, with the bobbed hammer and square-ish triggerguard front). It has only a small amount of wear, is in overall good condition, and it shoots great! I shoot it as well or better than my buddy's new CZ75.
Thanks, Wideners!
