Anyone care to see the “assault weapons ban of 2018”?

While they may tweak them at the last minute, the antis keep bills ready to go, nothing really new about that. They are always ready to take advantage of a tragedy and will never stop until all guns are removed civilian hands.

I would not worry if they don't do it now there will be a new bunch of voters who are now high school kids eligible to vote in 2020 presidential elections and some in 2018 mid-term ones. They will take care of firearm crime, "gun show" loopholes for us...... I don't own any assault-style rifles and am perfectly satisfied with magazine capacity of 10 or less (my Remington 1100 holds four in the magazine) and feel I should not loose my rights in the future because of wishes of some. Pleeeese stop telling me you need AR-15 or AKM with 30 or 40 round magazines because it may protect you from some tyrannical government in the future. Semi-automatic rifles like that in hands of civilians against: tanks, APCs, helicopters with night and thermal capabilities,.....is suicide made easy. That is why some on the left think some right wing people are loonies.
First they came for the labor unionists, and I didnt say anything. Then they came for the gays and the gypsies and I didn't speak up. Then they came for the Jews.....
By the time they came for me, there was no one left to speak up.

Don't expect there to be any of us left to speak up when they come for your shotgun Pablo.

You got me PabloJ, I'm retired now, lead a quiet life and admit I don't "need" ARs, AKs or whatever with 30, 40 or hundred round magazines to protect my family from our government, or anybody in particular. But then, I guess I don't really "need" my single shot break open 22 pistol, single shot shotgun, revolver, and certainly don't need my semi-auto with detachable magazine, that fires a round with each pull of the trigger. Trouble is, the people who are so adamant in support of banning assault style weapons have no intention of stopping there. Ultimately, my single shot .22, and your shotgun will have to go too.

BTW, in a letter to the editor in the newspaper a couple days ago, the writer suggested that if guns can't be banned, then only guns capable of holding 3 rounds or less should be allowed. Perhaps that is a suggestion we could all get behind:barf:

There are about 30 Democrats who are not co-sponsors. Those are the people we should be encouraging. If the Democrats are not in lockstep against guns, that could be crucial.

That's a VERY good point that too often isn't recognized.

I agree, thats a very good point. We should also be bombarding them.
