Anyone Considered These for CCW?

Obviously opinions vary but those things look both ugly and conspicuously tacti-cool to me.

+1 on Cabelas Serengetti safari shirt. Get 'em in "Tall" and they are plenty long enough even for a long-waisted guy like me. Cabela's also has gulf coast flats fishing shirts with wicking fabrics and air vents that are good when the temps go over 90. Both types come in wide variety of colors.

I'm not sure about a group buy on these, i'm sure i could find somthing at a compareble price locally, but i'm willing to do some work if some one wants to take the lead for a group buy

I just got one finally today...they are a little small. I normally wear an XL and I got an XXL, but I really could use an XXXL for more room in the chest and arms. I may have to sell this one and go with a larger size :(

It is nice and heavy and a great early fall and spring cover garment, I would like to find something long sleeve that works as well, any ideas?

Yeah, I'm with the others who say it looks too tacticool.

I use a mountain hardwear primaloft backpacker's vest during the not so hot months. It's cut long in the rear for climbers, weighs nothing, holds my ipod and speed loaders, doesn't print, and makes me look more like an outdoorsy hippie who would never have a weapon on him.
And, I'm kindof an outdoorsy hippie backpacker.

Gun Screaming

Most folks pay so little attention that you could walk around Walmart talking on your Glock like it was a cell phone and no one would notice.

Actually from seeing one in person it really isnt tactical looking. It just looks like a thick short sleeve shirt with an extra set of pockets. It definitely doesnt look like a BDU, and it beats some of the other weird things that people wear that really make themselves stick out. Like old fashion vests, mountain man clothing, or really loud printed shirts. To each their own of course YMMV.

I like the idea of the simple mountain vest above, but this shirt could get away as being summer attire, I just feel a vest that looks like its for fall/winter (even if it isnt) would look a little bit too odd for me in the summer.

I have one of these jackets in gray, wear it pretty frequently too. The fabric is stiffer than it looks, and actually breathes quite well. Makes it easy to carry a large frame auto OWB, printing isn't much of an issue, it's short sleeved, so I just wear a T-shirt under it.

Lots of large pockets is a plus too, plenty of room for the random junk I keep on me, cellphone, spare magazines, keys, etc. They really don't look bad at all, like a untucked button up shirt.

Not to mention they are a great company to deal with, very responsive, with loads of other cool stuff for sale.

I am going to end up ordering a few XXXL's if anyone normally wears an XL and isnt overly muscular in the chest and arms my XXL will fit great. I would be willing to sell it for $33.00 shipped USPS, it cost me 43.00 including the $9.00 shipping. It is still new and unworn, I just tried it on and realized it was just a tiny bit too tight in the shoulders and arms for me.

I will put it up in the WTS section of a few boards later this week, but since some of you were interested in ordering one anyway, I figured I would let you know.

I just ordered one in tan and one in black. I like the design. Maybe I can strap an Abercrombie and Fitch label on them and flip them at school for $95 ;)

I have had two of these jackets for several months now and I love them.

They are heavy enough not to flap around in the wind or when simply moving around.

I normally carry an Officer's Model 1911 or a Taurus PT-145 OWB at 4 o'clock. The jacket stays in place even when fully unbuttoned.

I love doing business with Zahal . . . with my next order I plan on getting the "Masada Shall Not Fall Again" t-shirt.

They are awesome for not moving around in wind. Its weird they are heavy, but feel nice an breathable like I would not be hot in them. I do wish they only had two pockets, but there is just nothing in the US that compares to their weight and feel. Zahal is awesome to deal with, I like giving them my business.

Keep the thread on topic please, and don't get sidetracked into political or religious issues, personal remarks and the like. You want to discuss concealment clothing here, fine. Otherwise it's best left unposted.

I laughed when I saw that you pay more the higher you want your "rank" to be.

Huh? they have no ranks...its for CCW....why would one put insignias on it?

Too bad it is 65% poly.

Something like that in cotton/canvas would be the bee's knees.

To those who already have these, is the size chart actually inaccurate? I'm not really worried about how their sizes correspond to anybody else's as long as they're close enough to the chart.

Assuming I figure out what size fits me, I'm in for two.

I would say they are a size small as they say. They have more of a European cut and they are made for someone who is more lean. If you have a gut, or are extremely muscular I would order two sizes up.

The easiest way to judge is if you can walk into a store and for the most part fit into a standard size European cut suit you can order one size up. If you need an athletic cut suit or need to buy a suit that fits your shoulders or chest, but have a lot of tailoring or re-cutting done to take in fabric around your waist then you should order two sizes up.

I wear an XL shirt and XL jacket, but I generally wear a 48 or 50 suit depending on how loose it is cut. I have to have my suits re-cut so that they can get rid of all the extra fabric around the belly and waist, etc. I ordered an XXL shabak and it was to small around the chest and shoulders. I will be ordering an XXXL and it should fit ok.
