I picked up the first part of my Christmas present on the 23rd, a Chinese SKS in great condition.
Matching serial number, incredible wood, metal in very good condition, and the bbl is in very good shape. Looks like someone was setting this one up as a collection piece, since it is in such good shape. Doesn't even look like anyone had ever fired it.
Ofcourse, i think if anyone did fire it without inspecting it, it probably would have slam fired non stop, considering that the bolt was pack with new grease (lightyellowish), and the firing pin would barely move with all the grease inside. I soaked the bolt in solvent for an hour or so, and got it to be nice and smooth again.
The second part of my present is 500 rounds of ammo and stripper clips, and we will be ordering those tommarow.
Now i just need to find a place to go shoot.
