I don't hear much about these guns but mine have impressed me. They aren't as accurate as a S&W 586/686 but they aint bad either.

My 4" seems to balance just right and I can shoot is as well off hand as from a rest. Also I think it is by far the best looking Ruger DA revolver.

I do.

I have a Ruger Speed Six with a 3 inch barrel that is very accurate, and is fun to shoot. I will have to agree with you on accuracy though, the most accurate 357 I have ever shot was a 586. I put a set of Eagle grips on mine, that I am very pleased with. It is the gun I will have on me if I am walking in the woods. My Rugers really like the Winchester 145 gr Silver Tips, very accurate and pretty warm.

I had never seen a second gun like mine, until I shot a night combat course with Jerry Miculek at Bang inc. He did some night fire demonstrations with a 357, sure enough he was utilizing a 3 inch Ruger Speed Six, his truck gun.

...have three...one two-and-three-quarter-inch barrelled 9mm, TWO three-inch barrelled, DAO .38 specials...with consecutive serial numbers...supposedly an "overrun" of guns for NYPD and uncatalogged...never fired the .38's, LOVE the 9mm....mikey357

I want one of those 9mm. I could kick myself for not buying one when I saw one for $300. I didn't know!

I like them .I have been looking for a used Speed Six Snubbie to pop up in my neck of the woods no such luck. I had a 4inch years ago but sold it to a converted Anti it was for a good cause she still has it and actually shoots it well.:D

I had a 2.75" Speed Six .357 at one time (wish I still had it). Very accurate and comfortable to shoot full power .357's out of. The only thing I didn't like was the skinny (for me) factory round butt wood grips. Got a "Tyler T-Grip" adapter and it fixed that problem.

Too bad Ruger doesn't make them any more. Every bit as nice as the S&W K frames and stronger to boot.

I have a Speed Six 2 3/4 barrell. Don't know about accuracy, I always figured I was the reason that the holes were outside of the 10 ring not the revolver. I have large hands and it came with factory rubber grips that fit my hands great. It is a great size and has nice balance. Would love to have a 9mm in the Speed Six, the best of both worlds.

I do.

Picked up a stainless 4" SS from AIM a few years back. Frame is marked "SFSD" which I guess to be San Francisco Sheriff's Department. (If someone has a better ID, let me know!)

Great trigger; very accurate; is strong like tractor.

Cut down and refinished an old pair of smooth wood Herrett's grips to replace the Pachmayer grips with Ruger logo that came with the gun.

Possibly my favorite revolver.

I've got a 2 3/4 " snubby that I just love. It will shoot anything, though it has a preference for Winchester 145gr sthp. The first thing that I did was change the grips to Pachmayr Compac. They work well for me and conceal well. They are kind of "tacky". and I get a good grip with them. Very accurate little gun. I've also got a 4 " Security Six, stainless, adj sights that is a tack driver( also got rid of the crummy factory grips, for a set of custom walnut). IMHO the Security Six and Speed Six are a must for any fan of the 357.

Definitely. I bought a 2 3/4" stainless years ago on sale, put Pachy compacs on it and have never looked back. This is a keeper, and more accurate than I thought.

FWIW, I used to give a guy mild fits at the Angeles Shooting Range in the '80's. We would shoot at a steel target in the handgun range at something like 75 yards. I often hit it more often than he did.

Hehe, he shot a 6" Python dbl action while standing. I "wimped out" with my snubby Ruger and shot single action, from the bench. With fixed sights and all. :neener:

Picked this one up last summer -- NIB, never fired. 9mm!! :D
