Anyone out there prefer the Ruger SR9 to the Smith & Wesson M&P? Or, am I the only one?
The M&P definitely has the hot start between the two.
Well the M&P got help from Walther in order to make a decent polymer pistol. Ruger apparently didn't need any help. The Ruger is not yet a major player in the polymer biz.
Of course both are far behind HK, Sig and Glock but at least its off and running.
Good looking pistol, and a Sig to boot. I have taken advantage of quite a few handgun bargains at Academy, but they don't seem to come down on M&P prices. They want over $500 for the full-size M&Ps, and I have never seen any M&P compact in any of their stores.I went into academy to buy an M&P and walked out with this:
(Sig SP2022)
After reading on the S&W forum about all the broken MIM strikers, I think
I made the right decision. I can't believe S&W makes the strikers out of MIM!

Even if it's not broken?simply call s&w, and they will send you a new steel one for free.
He's alright...I would be inclined to listen to Full Metal Jacket who seems quite knowledgeable about all things polymer.
