So far im not seeing super good deals. Think we are going to have to wait until the actual black friday? It seems like the deals up so far are pretty much their normal stuff they run with free shipping and such. :banghead:

I think part of the problem is prices are already so low. When you can put together a premium ar for 600 dollars its hard to go lower.

I agree; for PSA to really 'wow' us at this point, they'd have to basically pay us to take their guns.

I doubt they have 'room' for any serious marking down, and I consider that a good thing.

Yep, normally pretty competative pricing. Though their 6.8 ammo for 11.99 is nice.

Other vendors have good deals. I have already snagged 22 mag ammo at the best price I have seen in two years or more. Got CCI Maxi Mag TMJ for under $10. Now to find a bargain on Remington PSP 22 mag ammo.

My wife recently got a Colt LE6920 from PSA at a great deal. I really like the Colt better than the PSA rifles. The Colt functions very well and the furniture is much nicer than the furniture PSA offers. You would have to get Magpul furniture to get furniture as nice as Colt furniture. I cannot say I like the Colt better than my old pre Freedom Group DPMS. But I have equipped the old DPMS the way I like it over the years.

I was in the store last week, and there were lots of CCI "green tag" .22LR in 100-round packs. They were $14.95 each. A couple of store employees didn't know anything about the green tag ammo, but I finally was told that it's a precision target ammo, not plated.

I left it sitting on the shelf, but it doesn't seem too far out of line for precision ammo, and I assume it's in line with Ely Match ammo. ??

When NO ONE else had .22LR pistols, PSA had every model of Ruger at very competitive prices. That was in the Spring of '14.

Funny you should mention that 600$ price range. I am looking to get either an ar in 5.56 or .308 and that is my budget. I know that that is not very probable for the .308 but should be very doable for the AR.

If you guys had 600$ to spend on an AR and could only buy online (I live in rural alaska) what would you guys grab currently?

Would you spend 600$ on an AR and use irons? or would you be able to do a normal (not premium) build and squeeze optics in there too?

Those are good questions, and deserve their own thread. They have been discussed in the past, of course, things do change, but the basics stay the same.

First determine what this rifle will do - what range and target is intended. That will clear up the 5.56 vs .308 quickly, as they are aren't suited for doing the exact same thing. Once you drill down thru the subsequent decisions, you then get a feel for what features, and finally, who offers that type rifle.

And if you get that figured out by Thursday, PSA will be more than happy to take your order.

Worth is entirely based on what the market will bear. Last year it was worth that much, because there was a line of people waiting to pay that much for it. This year it is worth a lot less because there aren't as many buyers and there's lots of supply. And right at $500 is certainly a fine deal on any functional AR.

The PTAC stuff will probably function fine, but it is their bargain basement line. Their "Premium" line is where you find the more commonly desired materials, qualities, and features.

I would put its value about halfway between those prices. If you want the MOE furniture (I like it) it is a great deal. More than $100 of the guns value is in the stock alone.

I ordered some 45 and 9 ammo at fantastic prices.
So I'm happy so far with their Black Friday deals...
Just wish it didn't take them so dang long to "deliver"...but I'm used to that from them. I'm local and do a store pickup- usually about a week for them to have it ready.

They're going to have a print ad in the local newspapers on Thanksgiving Day. Last year they had some super deals that weren't on the website until that day so I'm hoping for the same this year.

Haha no they dont owe me anything. I work 6 months out of the year and this is my low season so i tend to be very thrifty. Just an aggressive deal getter.

I wish the ammo deals worked for me but you cannot ship ammo to alaska so i have to deal without unless i want to barge it up which is an ordeal in itself.

I agree that PSA's deals arent very good. The prices dont seem to be as good as a normal sale. I'm betting that the closer we get to black friday/monday, the better deals we will see.

Killer deal on that VZ2008, though...

Not really.

They've been selling them for months for just $20 more than this "sale" price, and those came with a bayonet and scabbard, which these lack. They also came with FIVE mags rather than just the three they include now. It's definitely a WORSE deal than what they were offering just a few weeks back.

That said, it's a fantastic rifle. Picked mine up in August.

Against my better judgement, I picked up (another) CW380 for $239...at that price, I could not remember the problems I had w/the last one. Also recently got a Ruger LCP there for $265...didn't even know it was on sale until they rung it up.

I think the stainless 10/22 for $179 is a deal, as is some of the ammo

Their prices got me to bite on some self-defense 9mm, and 25 round boxes of buckshot for $6.99. Maybe not the best deals ever, but at least I got some.
