Anyone else wants TWO of everything?

I try to have two of all my utilitarian guns, for example, my 870 and my Glock 27. Reasons for owning two (or more) of a particular gun usually outweigh the expense. One reason is a duplicate gun is a quick way to have all the replacement parts, and mechanical parts fail.

I have some kind of mental defect in that if I like something I get extras.

I really like Makarovs.
Why stop at getting just two.

When I think about it, it's more of a practice of buying as many guns as you need to "have the bases covered" then start filling in the gaps between the "bases".

I'm famous for acquiring handguns in pairs. Here are some of my matching pistols. A couple aren't exactly paired, like one may be a model-marked S&W and the other the pre-model variation. A couple are two different barrel lengths of the same model.
