I totally understand the concept of a backup gun, and fully intend to carry one when I get holsters for everything. I will probably carry my new Firestrom Mini-45 IWB, and my SP101 on the ankle, untill I can scrape together enough for a lighter .32 Magnum.

I have even heard people on the High Road say that they carry a third hide-out gun, something like a P-32 or a NAA mini in a pocket holster. I can rationalize that...

I am just curious if anyone out there has ever tried carrying 4 guns at once? I would feel VERY conspicuos carrying that much...

I carry a .45 of one sort or another on my person.
I carry an extra .45 or two in my truck along with an 870 and a 45-70 (sometimes a .30-30) and ammo.
I carry a safe full of shotguns, rifles, handguns at my house, and more ammo.

If the first gun doesn't solve the problem, I'll fight my way to my truck then drive/fight my way to my house.

In reality if the first gun doesn't do it; I'm in the biggest pile of poo ever and my chances of surviving are slim.

I wanted to post a picture of the guy, (I think it was Mr. Desantis) that had 20 some guns concealed on his person at once, but I can't find it. It's a pretty old picture. Maybe 40-50 years. He was advertising his holsters as being the best for the concealment of guns.

Anybody know what I'm talking about here? Anybody got a link?

Someone needs to paint that Radio Flyer black, and use it for "Logistical Support".

I prefer a dual shoulder rig, dual scabbards, dual SOBs, dual tactical thigh holsters, and dual ankle hosters. That way I have 10 handguns with me at all times, and that's just when I go to the beach. When it's cold, I like to have my trench coat over my Colt AR15 SBR and my Mossy persuader. I drive a bulletproof Ford Excursion with a GE Minigun out the back :what: and twin .50s out each side. Lastly, I have a .22lr derringer that clips to my belt buckle, and another one on a neck lanyard.

:D

The dude with all the guns in the holsters was John Bianchi from about 20 years. He was advertising all the holster that Bianchi produced that could be used for concealment.

I also recall a magazine article from Massad Ayoob where he was shown carrying (IIRC) 8 to 10 full-sized guns, all fairly well concealed.

I used to carry four.

Glock 17 (1+17+17+10)
Springfield 1911A1 Mil-Spec 9mm (1+9+9+9+8)
FEG PA-63 (1+7+7)
Raven P-25 (1+6)

I considered carrying five. I was disuaded by a police officer friend of mine. I was likely to be arrested carrying that many guns, regardless of what I was doing. I would be questioned for a long time before being released.

I now carry the Glock 17 and the Raven P-25. I will soon carry a Glock 26 on my ankle, and change the Raven P-25 to a Keltec P-32. You are most likely not to get hassled with that combo.

Another reason not to carry a bunch of guns is that during a shootout, you might fumble with different guns. Remember to KISS. That is why I am switching to two Glocks and the P-32 which is DA with no safety (besides the trigger).

On a traffic stop last year,

the officer asked me if I was CCW. I admitted as much, and pointed out the location of my primary and back-up, which he removed from me for the duration of the stop. He didn't even ask about two guns, though my past LE backround did come up in our ensuing converstion.:)

I have to wonder if a third gun might have changed the manner in which he conducted the stop, or our conversation. :D

I was stopped in TX for speeding a few years back and asked if I was carrying. I said yes, and was asked where it was. I told him there was one IWB, one under the front seat, a long gun under the rear seat, one in the console, and one in my girlfriends purse, his response was a snicker and a"have a nice day."

there is this from another thread I posted:

Good luck carrying the SP-101 on your ankle. I found it a bit large for anything but my Coronado Leather jacket for CCW. Normally, since I work in an office, I've got a 9mm of some sort in my briefcase and a .25 Beretta in my jacket pocket.

The .25 fits nicely in a pocket holster as well.

Most I ever carried at once was 3...
Browning Hi-power as primary.
S&W 2" Mdl 10 with ultra skinny grips secondary.
.22Maggy derringer as a tertiary.

The grips on the Mdl 10 were so thin I think they were glued on..:p
